I was the first to arrive at the restaurant, so I browsed the menu while I waited for my mom and sister. They ended up being about 15 minutes late, but it never occurred to the wait staff to serve me a glass of water while I waited. They also kept themselves hidden away, so I had to wait for someone to emerge from the kitchen before I could ask for a glass of water.Even after we've all looked at the menu and ordered, the staff did not bring my mom or sister any water. Giving your customers water is the most basic level of service, but they have not managed to get this right. I had to ask the waitress for water yet again. The waitress gave me a look like I was inconveniencing her.The same waitresses later sets out our cutlery for us, but she somehow gave forks and knives to my mom and sister, both of whom had ordered a spaghetti dish. I ask her why they would need the knives for pasta, and she gives me another look and finally comes back with spoons for them. Major attitude problem.Food wise, the spicy seafood pasta dishes were delicious. However, my cobb salad, which I've had before at their Soho branch, was absolutely dire this time around. The dressing was practically nonexistent. I ask the waitress for some more dressing and she goes into the kitchen, only to come back with a teaspoon's worth of extra dressing. Predictably, I had to ask for dressing a second time.

To celebrate my lovely sister's belated birthday, I dinned at this restaurant last night with her and my two lovely cousins.Decor:We sat inside, but there were tables outside too. Since it was a pretty breezy night, sitting outside wouldn't have been bad.  The good side of sitting inside though is that you get to admire all the wine bottles. There were hundreds of wine bottles neatly sitting on the wall and others standing in the centre waiting to be ordered.  There were candles lit at every table, very romantic but it was a little too dark since I noticed that I wasn't the only one who had problems reading the menu. Haha. I saw many people using the flashlight on their phones while looking at the menu. What a funny scene.  Anyways, it had a really nice and laid back environment. Service & Hygiene:I have not much to say about hygiene and service as both were pretty decent. The staff were efficient and the food came out efficiently as well. I didn't notice anything that made me question the hygiene of the staff and restaurant.  Taste & Value:Since there were so many deliciouslooking food choices, we decided to order some drinks first, and then order food. Happy hour is until 8 pm so we got a good deal on our drinks.The drinks we ordered were : a Piña colada (HH Price $45), Farewell ($45), Green destiny ($45), and 2 glasses of white white ( $150, it was a sweet one, but I forgot the name). The drinks were good; tasted like alcohol you know.  Haha. After a few sips, we decided on 3 starters and 4 mains. Starter 1: Garlic Fries ($68)THEY WERE AMAZING!  None of us could stop eating them. On top of the perfectly cooked fries, there was garlic,and alongside there was also garlic mayo, so the double "garlic"ness was absolutely to die for. This was everybody's favourite! We almost ordered a second one!Starter 2: Camembert Mushroom Brushetta ($98) One order came with 3 pieces. The Camembert cheese was really nice, and there was some crunchy threads underneath that were probably onions, which was a bit weird. I didn't really like that, but together with the cheese, mushrooms, bread and nut, it was nice. Starter 3: Dungeness Crab and Artichoke Dip ($118)The dip was thick and cheesy and you could definately taste the crab in it.  To complement the dip, there were a lot of freshly deepfried nachos.  This dish was okay, but I thought the dip lacked taste. Main 1: Mac & Cheese with truffle oil ($98)This was the first main to come. I've never thought too highly of mac & cheese because it is so easy to make and no matter where you eat it, the taste doesn't change much. However, the truffle oil made this a really tasty dish.The pasta was al dente, but the truffle oil was definitely the star of the dish. It was strong and we all loved it. I recommend this dish. Main 2: Vintage Steak ($168)We were all surprised by the size of this dish.  Since it was a steak, we were expecting a small piece of meat with six slices max, but there were at least 20 slices.  Don't be overwhelmed by the beef though, as there was a lot of arugula underneath; making the dish less heavy. The beef was tender and juicy and the gravy that accompanied it was pretty good as well. You could taste the beef juices in the gravy so you know it was housemade and not made from powder. The beef tasted good by itself and dipped in the gravy. Main 3: Softshell crab Sliders ( $88 2 pcs) Since there were 4 of us, the best way to go was to order 2 pieces and cut them in half. I love softshell crab so I suggested these sliders, and they didn't let us down. The crab was fried nicely and wasn't limp. It came with a sauce on the side, which I think was some kind of paprika mayo, cayenne mayo?? It wasn't bad, but i liked the slider without the sauce more because I could taste the crab better. Main 4: Beef Sliders ($98 2pcs)Last but not least, cousin T is a die hard burger fan so we had to get these beef sliders. These sliders just came with ketchup instead of a special sauce. However, don't underestimate the ketchup. You could tell that it was housemade and not Heinz or whatever because it had a fresh sweetness to it. I liked the ketchup.  Maybe because we had the steak before these sliders, the beef in these burgers instantly tasted less delicious, but still they weren't bad and there was a lot of cheese.  This was probably our least favourite dish out of the 4 mains. Final Verdict:We all agreed that this was a fine restaurant and that we would be back for sure. It was less expensive that I thought so it's a good choice if you just want to chill and have some western food. 

I booked an early table for two, as it is half price oysters and wine from 68pm every day. Taking advantage of this we ordered a couple of French oysters which were $30 each. They were large, plump, juicy, very flavourful and perfect with just a couple of drops of lemon juice. We were lucky the evening that we went, that a couple of Californians were in the restaurant showcasing some exclusive reds and whites and paired my girlfriend's oyster with a crisp, slightly metalic white, which worked very well indeed. For food we wanted a variety of snacks, so ordered Korean beef tacos which were small, but the beef was very tender and melted in the mouth. (We ordered a starter portion of two, for a main you are served three). We also had Dungeness Crab Stuffed Piquillo Peppers which was was rammed with full bodied crab meat and apple. Three came on a plate and they were good snack size for the two of us. They came on a bed of lightly dressed rocket leaves. We felt obliged to try the house garlic fries and weren't disappointed. Imagine your favourite garlic bread recipe, and then transfer it onto thin cut, crisp fries. They were excellent and didn't need the addition of the homemade ketchup, nice as it was. Though being from England, I baulked at the prospect of paying $68 for a bag of chips. Still not sated, we opted for the deep fried calamari. Instead of rings of flesh we were served a plate of lightly battered tentacles and a sweet and sour sauce. Far from disappointing, these were again very pleasant and light, not tough as they can be if badly prepared. To finish (right before happy hour ended) we had a couple of full glasses of red, my girlfriend choosing a 2009 Venge Silencieux, while I went for a 2009 Fleury Lucky 8. delicious and full bodied, these had deep fresh berries notes with an after taste of dried fruits such as raisins and prunes. Not a restaurant I would go to every day, but service was prompt and helpful, the addition of the visiting suppliers was a bonus and the ambience was chilled, jovial and friendly. 

Noticed this branch of California Vintage which was a lot bigger than their Central store. Overall was really well lit, had friendly staff, and was spacious and comfortable. It was also happy hour for oysters (half price) so we could not say no!Started off with a few oysters each, which were nice and fresh, not the juiciest, but given they were half price, pretty good value for money. Then got into some real food. Tried the mushroom and camembert bruschetta which was really nice with some caramelised onions in the middle. A really simple dish, but done real well. Perhaps a bit overpriced, but I guess you are paying a bit for the environment too. Also got their mixed sliders, which were soft shelled crab, salmon, and minced beef patties. They were all quite good on their own, but also very small (even allowing that they were just sliders). They came with a few different sauces to sample, but none were good enough to write home about. Overall experience was very pleasant though. Will be back to try out the scallop and avocado salad or their tacos. It is a nice place to feel like you are in the states or anywhere else with a more western vibe. And their wine tasting selection is huge! 

6pm8pm happy hour 半價食蠔同飲酒又係半價.如果outdoor, 就要入舖內落order.自己serve自己..拎餐具等等.果段時間無咩客, 所以環境清淨.  內部裝修很舒適.蠔方面價錢都係$50$60隻..咁半價都係$30.  酒就平時$100杯左右.  依家半價..所以都好平下...值得泥嘆下蠔...
