Compared to the hustle and bustle of traditional Hong Kong Cafes Yeh Lam Kwok definately has a more tranquil atmosphere with modern furnishings and ambient lighting.But it's severely over priced for the tiny portions it serves.It gets worse. The food is dry and bland. I ordered a tuna sandwich and SURPRIZE it's a sandwich with no tuna and just mayo. I also ordered a baked spagetti, it was oily and didn't taste professionally cooked. I guess you are paying for the atmosphere and the waiters BUT it's Hong Kong so go to a proper HK restaurant, not some franchised overpriced place with no taste.

是日由元朗行到深井三個半小時路程後,我發現對腳已不屬於自己了...要快快找一個冷氣地方休息和...坐!深井的酒樓就有很多,餐廳則不覺有,見對面馬路正好有間椰林閣,不作他想就飛奔進去怎料店內冷氣非常的弱已經有兩把風扇扶持,也不得涼快.看來是找錯地點了...身上的衫已濕無可濕,借了店內廁所一用,哇.廁所非常污糟,眼不見為"乾淨",快快手換件乾衫就閃.整頓好後就點餐,下午茶選擇有很多,沙律/麵包/小食/炒/湯/焗粉麵等等.老友食蒜蓉汁雞扒意粉,雞扒都幾大塊呢,意粉用茄汁炒過,配有些少瓜菜,$29尚算合理.見有時間,我選擇焗類,不想吃肉,剛好有個芝士焗雜菌螺絲粉,正合我意等了十分鐘左右,算幾快,份量還可以,這個都是$29,查實份量和同系午餐差不多咋不過午餐貴成十幾蚊啊~芝士外原來再有白汁我已經盡量不食汁了(因為油量極高),不過汁已經依附螺絲粉上畢不走了,幸好用量並不多,每一粒螺絲粉剛沾到大半汁而已,而芝士只依賴式得少少.螺絲粉彈牙,沾埋芝士白汁其實好好食!數條菇菌配幾舊翠肉瓜,是白烚的,這樣就可以平衡白汁的濃膩.食完後碗底也沒有多餘油份,內心都沒有那麼驚很久沒飲過的凍檸茶了少甜都是好鬼甜,溝了半杯開水才入到口,茶味不重,檸味就好強,貪其解渴之用~坐了半小時才感到那冷氣的存在,但還不太夠涼,於是食完也快點走人.椰林閣給我的印象一直是收費貴,服務差.今次體驗算不錯呢,下午茶是接受價,此店服務又幾好,起碼有禮貌同肯加水
