I was in the area for an errand and walked down the famous Main Street East to look for a place for lunch. This restaurant caught my eye with its bright yellow decor. As they offer western food which is a departure from the other local eateries around here, I decided to dine here and try it out. Soup of the Day the set lunch came with soup, bread and salad. The soup was canned cream corn soup which was rather bland and watery. The croissant bread was pretty limp and cold. The salad was not much of a salad with just some seaweed and masago on top. Red Pepper Garlic Clam Meat & Spaghetti ($55) luckily the pasta was much better. There was actually plently of clam meat which were obviously frozen but acceptable in taste for what it is. The texture of the spaghetti was firm while the flavors were spicy and sweet at the same time. Ice Coffee I ordered an ice coffee for the drink which came with the set lunch. The coffee was already sweetened so I just added milk. It was alright but the coffee taste could have been stronger. For $55, one can't really complain about the value here. It was pretty good for what it is as a HK style western restaurant, but not a place I would come specifically to Shau Kei Wan for. Can be a good alternative to try if you get tired of the local food on this street and want to try something else.

Got there at tea time so we managed to have both lunch and tea sets at the same time. Last time we went here for dinner, discovering lunch and tea serves roughly similar stuffs at a much bargain prices. At dinner, merely separate order of individual dishes is available.Dishes here are comparable to Pokka Cafe, only you don't have that much variety and the seating would be less "private" and spacious. The quality of food here is outstanding and the service satisfactory. The hotdog here is of quality as Just Hot Dog and it goes with a tea set at $36. The coffee is freshly brewed, with milk foam serving by aide, so you are free to make a latter of your own preferences for milk, coffee, and sugar proportion. This sweet consideration already makes a huge difference and makes it outwit other chained restaurants.Lunch sets are priced at around $45 to $50, serving different choices of spaghetti. Again, it goes with a free hot drink. No service charge is required. The carbonaro spaghetti we tried last time left us a rich creamy taste and surprisingly good impression. Spaghetti with oysters are usually dry, but this one we tried served unexpectedly juicy oysters!The melting chocolate cake put a fulfilling full stop to the dinning experience a remarkable touch on the the dish decoration and matches of fruits, cake and icecream enriched the visual pleasure.
