I know I have said that I would not come back to "Mixed Café" for lunch, but every restaurant deserves a second chance, right? Well actually, this time it would be the third or fourth chance already. I think it might be time to give up. The Japanese Style Curry is still safe to have. The Lemon Chicken with Conpoy (dried scallop) Egg White Fried Rice I took was alright. It had vegetables on the side to make the meal healthier. Frankly, there was a lot going on in this lunch box. Overall this dish was not bad, but nothing to praise about. I guess there was just too much of a mix in there: sweet and sour sauce from the chicken, and also salty sauce from the vegetables. Simplicity was lacking here. As for the Chowder: what a disaster! I had hardly lifted the lid that I was repulsed by the sight of it. Why did "Mixed Café" put a cracker in the soup? I mean if you were to give me a cracker, at least put it aside and let me put it in myself when I am going to have the soup. Just by looking at it one could already guess that the cracker was all soggy and disgusting. Cream soups just do not seem right at "Mixed Café". I have the feeling that "Mixed Café" uses the same method for its socalled "Western" soups. That is to use the same cream soup base and simply toss other ingredients in and serve. The previous soup I had was broccoli. The texture was the same, the flavour was the same.The broccoli was tossed in pieces and was still quite crunchy. This chowder was no different. The cream base and other ingredients (fish, tomato, potato, bacon, etc) all "acted individually". I did not have the impression of having "one" soup, one mixture. This soup lacked "team spirit". What I am trying to say is that it was not homogenous at all. What a disappointment!

今日一如往常地上班, 見還有約大半個小時多, 當然要嘆一嘆早餐吧. 最近喜歡勇於嘗試, 不試過也不知道它好還是不好. 這家店是在成發快餐的前面. 看上去比較整潔, 約可容納20人吧.早餐$17 起, 通常我都是點湯粉加煎蛋或炒蛋配多士或方包, 飲品當然是熱奶茶, 今次也不例外. 價錢$21 絕對相宜.火腿通粉 湯底有味, 火腿是切絲的, 但火腿份量不多; 通粉很爽.腸仔煎蛋多士 蛋煎得有點燶, 方包不太軟熟.奶茶 沒有茶味, 奶味太搶, 不行. 建議考慮其他飲品如: 好立克, 阿華田等, 這些理應會比較正常.這裡來求飽肚是不錯的, 價錢相宜.
食過兩次,上次食焗豬扒飯, 都不錯, 餸多, 汁美味.今次薑荵雞扒飯, 仲可免費轉菜飯薑荵夠香, 惟其汁過濃, 全部撈飯吃下應會頗感口渴, 所以還是撥開其中部分汁更佳雞扒又多又大件, 不錯!同行友人之焗魚柳飯亦不錯, 魚柳大件多肉且無骨, 最適合懶人一族.暫時為上班附近價錢最相宜而又有品質之茶餐廳
每日lunch 都要考慮去邊到食，近期多去了呢間五味主意．．．雖然，間舖都平凡過平凡，但係日色嘢食就幾ｏｋ．．．今日，我試了個午餐set ，雞翼雜菜魚餅擔擔麵加凍奶茶，個擔擔麵十分足料，魚餅夠爽口，麵同湯底都好好味。
不過，雞翼雖然大隻但係好鹹．．．總括，呢餐值７０分．．．
我以前經常來食晏,但近期已好少來,因為D食物愈來愈鹹上星期某日(唔記得星期幾)叫左一個午餐, 蜜燒金沙骨配炒反, 餐湯是忌廉雞湯, 湯好鹹落左好多雞粉, 炒反唔香應是炒定的, 金沙骨醃到好鹹 , 再加汁鹹上加鹹,我問其他人覺唔覺鹹, 佢地話唔覺, 可能已經食到味覺麻木晒 , 個腎遲早出事!另外我睇到一個好大的問題, 過左午反時間去食, 可能D食物唔夠熱, 佢地好鐘意用膠碟載食物一齊叮, 上枱時好明顯隻碟表面有裂痕, 應是長期叮到甩皮的後果,我唔知會唔會致癌, 但肯定對身體有害!早前消委會公報測試結果, 話果D仿瓷塑膠杯碟,如果用微波爐叮, 會釋出致癌物質,我而家好驚 , 因為已經幫襯兩年左右
