WoW! I was totally impressed with BD with my first step into the restaurant, the interior was warm and cozy (perfect given the freezing weather today), tastefully furnished and smelled of inviting aromas from the lunch buffet. The selection from the buffet was awesome with veggie pakoras (could be crispier, lighten up on the thick batter), onion fritters (a bit tough), and another circular meat item in terms of appetizers alone. The entrees featured about four different items with everything from butter chicken, fish masala (a bit fishy though), tandoori chicken, saag paneer, to a paneer curry . For vegetarians, there was also aloo gobi (potatos) and a lentils curry. Everything was piping hot with a wide variety of condiments (raita, mint sauce, peach chutney, etc) for your dipping pleasure. I was especially impressed with the two (one was tomato based, another had a white creamy consistency) different salsas set on my table. The garlic naan was heavenly and extraordinary, it was seriously the best naan I've ever had and I wolfed down the entire basket of it. It's also neat that they include a freshly made roti with potato filing within as not much buffet spreads would offer that. They had about three different desserts and also a fresh fruit platter. I did feel some pressure to order drinks though from my server but I insisted on water instead when they came to ask me multiple times. The manager was extremely friendly and had asked whether everything was alright. It's too bad that I've only managed to down two plates given the good food but I just can't fit anything more into my stomach. I didn't really like the bone in chicken for the butter chicken though, it would have been preferable if that was made with chicken breast instead as the bones detracted from the experience, becoming a rather messy affair. But the taste of all the entrees had been admirably authentic, as opposed to being completely watered down and tamed for the local palatte. All in all, I will definitely return in the future but only after I've sampled the other Indian buffets in Central. 2 down (Koh i Noor, Bombay Dreams), 2 more (Jashan, Tandoor) to go. I had walked past this restaurant for many times whenever I visited Hollywood Road. This was the first time I had decided to eat at Bombay Dreams and it was quite an experience.The restaurant was well decorated and kept clean, and the ambience there was high class but welcoming, while the manager and his staff there showed great hospitality. The overall impression was comfortable and meticulous.Once we were seated, the manager told us that lunch buffet was served. I asked if a la carte was available and the manager said it was but he insisted on the lunch buffet which had been set in a separate room. I caught a glimpse of the food and decided on the buffet I could see that there was quite a wide of variety of options.It was also true, from other reviews, that two free drinks went along with the buffet. I ordered one mango lassi, which was a common Indian drink for HK people and a Kingfisher, which is usually used only in Indian restaurant. I didn't try the lassi but the beer was really chilled which was nice to me after some walking from Sheung Wan.There was a wide variety of traditional Indian food available on the buffet table. I can't name them all but I could sense that they were seriously done and laid out. Once we were seated a portion of fresh naan was provided and a roll with sweet potato was presented, the latter of which was new to me as I hadn't tried that in any other Indian restaurants. The roll had sweet potato inside but it was a bit salty rather than sweet. I tried the roll only after I had so much food and I couldn't even finish it.The food on the buffet was really tasty there were chicken, fish and lamb and plenty of vegetables, fruit and desserts. Please refer to the pictures below for their 'looks'.Probably my friend and I arrived too 'early' at 12:15 and the food on the buffet table was still being 'warmed' with small ethanol stoves and therefore many meat dishes were not warm enough.Howeve the taste of the food could definitely give you a taste of India you would find most dishes taste strong and spicy. Even the desserts were sweet and Indian enough to be impressive.Each person was charged less than a hundred dollars but the beer cost $44. The meal was absolutely worth the money, though Central, quiet, typical Indian food, buffet, good services qualities that will make me go there again.

個多月前朋友的生日飯局Book了這裡的VIP房, 一行十二人大吃試了十幾廿款Appertizer + Main Course, 大喝King Fisher, 埋單不過每位三百五, 非常盡慶. 但同班朋友們吵吵鬧鬧, 無認真試每一道菜. 淨係記得Over all above average, 價錢抵,可以再返黎.有美好回憶打底, 特地重返再試返幾度印象比較深刻的菜式.星期五晚八時半, Walk In, 全場九成滿, 斯文客為多. 氣氛頗佳. 兩個人叫了:Appetizer Tawa Fish 鐵板香料檸檬魚(3.5/5)幾香口, 雖然無甚魚味, 但亦無雪藏味, 係略為咸左小小.Main Course Chicken Makhani 燒雞肉燴奶油香汁(4/5)個人很怕吃所有印式燒烤食品(Tikka 類), 因一般都會燒得很乾身, "鞋"得另人倒胃口. Chicken Makhani 順利成張登上我必吃之列, 只因香滑! 帶點甜的牛油奶油番茄香汁, 厚厚的裹著每件雞肉, 香濃的味道,送飯一流!! 假如他們用上新鮮雞肉, 這裡的Chicken Makhani 會更接近完美.Saag Gosht 菠菜茸羊肉(3/5)小小辣以外味道無甚特別,但羊肉有點乾.Saffron Rice紅花香味飯(4/5)以牛油, 洋荵, 肉桂, 蜜糖, 豆寇, 藏紅花等, 香香甜甜, 用黎配辣味菜式一流. 另加四支King Fisher, 埋單$551. 仍然會再幫襯, 不過就會留返同一大班朋友黎係VIP房狂飲狂食. 想食餐地度d好味d o既Indian, 都係要過返TST.

星期六中午友人提議去這裏吃印度菜brunch,我半興奮半緊張地說好。

話說許多年前我在另一餐廳試過一次印度菜,那次吃完之後,個胃不停有些印度香料的氣味湧上來,想作嘔狀。

那次之後不敢再吃。

事隔這麼多年,不防再試一次。

我們各要了一杯芒果飲料(不需額外費用),好"kit",但味道不錯。

因為這是自助形式,所以我們有很多選擇。

除了甜點外,我差不多都試過每道菜,每樣一口,但已夠飽。

菜式主要分乾和濕兩類食物。

乾的有炸雲吞薯仔餡,燒雞肉,炸洋蔥球等。

這幾道菜都很乾。

濕類食物就是有汁做底的食物,例如有魚,雞,椰菜配豆等。

其實大部分的菜都是由豆,薯仔和雞肉做成的。

印度香草沒有過多。

食物多是辣的,但不至於辣得不能入口。

不過就算吃不得辣,那杯芒果飲料甜甜的有助解辣。

這裏豬羊牛都欠奉。

我認為這樣還好,與現今的環保意識不謀而合,雖然還是有雞。

另外,還有沙律,印度脆薄餅,印度麵包,甜點和水果。

甜點非常甜,我吃不慣,只嚐了一口。

整體來說,環境舒服,裝修美觀,服務不過不失。

現場播放的音樂亦非常悅耳,節奏輕鬆而快,容易讓人陶醉於中並跟上節拍。

這裏有很多印度人顧客,想必算是地度的印度菜吧!不過,吃完這餐午飯,我的鼻子不停流鼻水,流足一天。

不知道與這餐飯有關與否。

是空調多塵?還是食物太乾再加上沒有飲水,所以鼻膜太乾而引致鼻敏感發作?
