What was expected to be a modest French lunch turns into a DELICIOUS FEAST! Great value lunch at this small bistro serving classic French cuisine in big hearty style which I actually enjoyed more as opposed to the delicate French extravagance. We ordered 4 lunch sets that almost sampled their entire menu! Stunned by the generous portion of each plate that are more than enough to fill the hungriest of appetites. What a bargain at just 198pp set price (with addons for selective dishes).It was also interesting to find ourselves being the only locals in the restaurant with everyone else speaking French, almost felt like a lunch in Paris (might help relieve our travel ‘ache’ a little?). Started off with complementary sourdough that is of excellent quality with great crust and sourness, also served with generous cured sausages that are certainly amazing bonus. It was a diverse array of starter dishes, go from the pleasantly smooth mayo egg and warm roasty leek salad to rich earthy duck foie gras and crispy fried cheese with gooey oozy center.The main courses are bigger and bolder in size and flavor. First with the aggressively seasoned beef tartare, on the edge of being too salty but goes well with the creamy egg yolk and capers served with French fries, would be more fitting to serve with crispy bread though.My favorite dish must be the scallops which was perfectly cooked and complemented with a creamy and sweet butternut purée and aromatic truffles (again very generous!). The duck leg confit and beef bavette are tender and both paired with a dark rich flavorful sauce. Finally an indulgent and unconventional dessert featuring poached figs with not overly sweet vanilla cream and crumble to add texture. It’s served beautifully in a glass looking like a cappuccino.

Familiar flavor spotted at this new French Bistro. We found out the Chef came from Wanchai, and he served the same French dishes. We enjoyed every single dish we ordered, all super tasty and fresh. We also enjoyed the attentive service and cozy ambience. 😊Will go back.
喺上環以前磅太太嘅位,開左間好低調嘅法國bistro Bouillon,鋪仔細細但係已經非常之受歡迎,法國生蠔非常新鮮,輕海水味重帶有淡淡嘅金屬味同鮮甜,grilled bone marrow 配麵包食非常邪惡,相反pate en croute 同 escargot 就失色啲。
油封鴨都算正常發揮,全晚最好食嘅係佢個甜品,香脆嘅 profiteroles 加上綿滑嘅雲呢拿雪糕,正!佢嘅Wine Menu都有好多選擇,絕對係豐儉由人。
Bouillon was a newly opened French bistro in Sheung Wan (the previous location of Mrs. Pound). This popular spot was lowkey and small with a lovely vibe so you better make a reservation beforehand! The oysters that day were very fresh and sweet with a slight coppery taste. The Parisian grilled bone marrow was perfectly fatty and flavourful. The pate en route and escargot were soso though. The highlight of the night would definitely be the profiteroles with vanilla ice cream every bite was so balanced! Their wine menu was also very well curated with a lot of great choices of French wine!
西營盤neighborhood新開的French bistro 我們6個人 把菜單上的不少菜都擼了一遍 還點了當天剩下的最後一個off the menu的snapper and我只想說每一個菜都真的非常好吃(這個點評也是有點不負責任,因為細節太多了) beef cheeK很嫩 eggplant ravioli意外的好吃(主要是sauce)scallops那個也是很好吃很好吃 甜點的話最愛passionfruit creme brulee 味道好也就算了 連造型也是一級棒 完全沒想到是放在百香果殼裡面的 嗲 且他們的Portion比一般的bistro大哦 但我們依然是一人點了一個main 一個dessert和4個starter hahaha

超所值的午餐只需 HK$198+ Starter was Camembert frit (+$30). Fried camembert cheese with organic fresh salad! Main course was Coquille SaintJacques (+$60) Scallops butternut, sea beans and fresh truffle . 配搭光滑細膩甜甜的鮮忌廉胡桃醬,海豆和芳香的松露,烹製完美!To make my lunch complete this time, dessert du jour was Crème brûlée aux fruits de la passion!!!! No doubt this bistro is one of the best in town! Will absolutely come back again and again
