吃過糖水佬的麻麻二線糖水,估不到再遇上比之更差的三線糖水店。

 來這裡只因就腳,但見店內空無一人,早應知乃是預警。

然而甜魔未知驚,還是點了3碗糖水(嚴格來說我只點了2碗,1碗是龍點的): 蕃薯糖水($10)其上檯時的清徹感嚇壞了我,滿以為是碗毫無味道的蕃薯+糖+水;幸而分開煮的蕃薯夠香甜軟稔不多渣,另煮的糖水亦甜甜的滿有薑味,味道是比預期中好多了。

不過其實盛糖水的碗非常細呢!紅白小丸子($18)如圖,店內圖片與實物完全是兩個樣子的...幸而細心撈一撈,所謂的彩色丸子實在存在,味道與口感久奉就是另一個問題了;糖水另一邊其實還有西米與紅豆,西米很正常,夠諗夠起沙的紅豆就是較好的一項,配以椰汁可予我低冰感的紅豆冰感受,都算OK收貨啦!芝麻/花生湯圓($12)最後又來我最喜歡的湯圓,其實也是驅一驅寒。

湯圓似是中華牌的來貨,甜魔貪心之下要求了兩溝,結果是不太好味花生味更多,餡芯較豐富香甜的芝麻味較少。

又是細碗關係,五粒湯圓很飽肚了,但薑水就不太夠了。

 埋單$40,考慮店內環境OK,令二人度過了一個寧靜的時光,都俾個OK啦!

A Visit to 甜苑 will render you stripped off of dignity and make your dentist a very happy person. While the decor is homely with white tiles and plastic chairs like yet another one of its kind in the neighborhood. Don't be fooled by the $25 or under dessert menu (aka the entire menu). You may have an edge over the price tag, but not with how much (or little) you will experience in this joint. Here are some of my modest suggestions based on my visit there. I hope you find them useful.1. Do not arrive in a crowd more than 4 We arrived at the eatery in a group of 10, and after some shuffling of musical chairs and accommodated by the waiting staff, we were stuck with 5 "tables for two" stuck together at the back. Anyone would stick together 4 tables for two, seating one on each end. We suggested that, but in vain. We settled in to realize how hot it is even with the chill from the street. We requested a fan, or anything, no attention was paid. Ah, we did get a cold stare from someone at the kitchen and a waiter frozen in action when we asked whether the fan can be turned on. The dynamic duo offered no cooling off for us.2. Order something you know what will be in it, look like, or you have had before First timers will have better luck in the Chinese dessert repertoire, at least you won't end up shocked by what arrived at the table. Case in point, we ordered 楊枝金露, a popular dessert we all know what's in it and what it looked like. We were refreshingly amazed (and amused) by how much is looked like tapioca in thinned out coconut milk with mango puree spooned on top. The pomelo part was nonexistent, let alone the milky smooth of it all. Ice cream Float with Adzuki Beans (雪糕紅豆冰) came in the same glass bowl. Ice was nowhere to be found, a mere incomplete scoop of vanilla ice cream (too sweet) floating on mushy red bean 'soup' like a lonely iceberg who will die (melt) soon enough into the soup. We let it diminish into the soup. The soup tasted better but nowhere near Fast Food Chain's tall glass variety.3. Adventurous eaters can try something called "冰粉", which is a flavorless concoction made with a blend of gelatin and agaragar. It's definitely not vegetarian, I assume. But not that it mattered. Since it tasted of nothing more than plain fruitless gelees. The appearance is a killer.It looks like delicate crystal cubes. Here they were paired with fruit purees overdosed on sugar. The coconut version was too thin, while the mango slices on my order were so tart that it bit back. The "Crimson Blush" (紅粉冰冰) was nowhere close to a blush. With a safe bet of red beans in it, the dessert came out too sweet. BlackWhite Duo with Mango (芒果黑白配) has herbal jellies (涼粉) in it. I could only wish them luck with better selections of the canned variety.4. Those with problems deciding should stay away from a "you can have it all moment" ordering the SUPREME (至尊). Ordering it will make you feel out of this world, or at least wishing you were. Each order was filled with sweet and chewy tapioca (satisfactory), crunchy basil seeds (good), "冰粉" (novelty) and herbal jellies (plain bad). All of these brought to union with plain syrup as heavy as the ones from canned fruit. Strawberries and watermelon, for the first time in history of fruits, tasted of the same flavour SWEET. The latter was scooped into mini globes, but with your eyes closed I seriously doubt there is a difference.5. Avoid Special Requests, especially when you want to leave out an ingredient because you don't want it or allergic. The staff will snap back a stare colder than any desserts served here. If there is an egg in your Red Dates and Lotus Seed sweet soup but you don't want it. Don't hesistate to leave it. It may seem wasteful, but the owner in the kitchen thinks that any requests are too much to ask, and it's not a matter of extra charge for leaving out the egg. It's possibly "unethical".6. Place your orders carefully The ordering tends to get into a mess. At one point the tapioca was missing and in another the red date and lotus seed has been replaced by papaya and fungus. Keep your eyes open at all times.7. Avoid Conversations The owner has utter contempt into barring any customers who utter sounds at any given time, as he perked his ears for conversations. He complained of our noise level and requested that we stop talking at all. When our next table of teenagers start joking around, he said the same thing to them. Were we supposed to eat silently the entire time?! Well, at least he didn't play favorites, that's comforting to know.8. Watch your feet our our way out I found the floor slightly slippery and it took me a second to realize that it was some spill of a previous dessert. I wiped my shoes clean and headed out.I looked back at the entrance of the eatery, hoping to spot a sign where it reminds its customers to eat silently, as a joke, I couldn't locate it. Was I not smart enough to see through the joke within this emperor's new "sign" that should keep us away? Or was I silly enough to keep our hopes up at a neighborhood desserterie like this one in particular?I was certain, I hope that the latter was true.Note: Please note the before and after pictures. Not many of us finished our desserts. They were outrageously sweet, at a point I could feel my tooth popping out any minute then.

貴為「甜魔會」既會員, 甜品店當然係我地呢班甜魔既聚腳點。

可惜﹐坊間既甜品店質素參差﹐並唔係每一間甜品店都能夠得到甜魔們既歡心。

繼上一次「甜品工房」加料杏仁糊同變壞了的酸味奶茶凍既不快經歷後﹐估唔到低處未算低﹐又俾我地揀中左一間「名店」...... 於深水埗區食過晚飯後, 一班人既「甜癮」又開始作怪, 當大家唔想去慣常既「綠林」之際, 席間有朋友提議去試新店, 於是就一班人浩浩蕩蕩咁向住「甜苑」進發。

門面用上了最大路既白色, 配合簡單既裝修, 一貫甜品店既格局。

店鋪面積唔太大, 大約可以坐到十幾二十個人左右﹐我地一行九男女已經幾乎佔據左店鋪一半位置。

細看餐牌﹐設計頗為精緻﹐選擇亦較其他甜品店為多。

除左基本的食品如涼粉﹑水晶珠﹑喳咋外﹐還有較為特別的冰粉﹑益力多沙冰等﹐首次光臨﹐亦可以點個乜都有既「至尊」﹐即係有齊 冰粉﹑涼粉﹑黑珍珠﹑水晶珠 既大雜會。

以為呢類小店, 尤其新店既甜品水準理應穩穩陣陣﹐差極有限﹐點知就出事喇.......... 楊枝金露 請睇一睇第一幅相...... 無錯! 你無睇錯, 第一幅相真係 "楊枝金露" 黎架! 我地已經向店員求証過, 佢 doubleconfirmed 呢樣係 "楊枝金露", 並唔係我地心目中既 "芒果汁西米露".... 雪糕紅豆冰 請睇一睇第二幅相..... 無錯! 你無睇錯, 第二幅相真係 "雪糕紅豆冰" 黎架! 我地亦已經向店員求証過, 佢亦 doubleconfirmed 呢樣係 "雪糕紅豆冰", 並唔係我地心目中晌各大小快餐店同茶餐廳果 D 一杯杯用飲筒黎飲既 "雪糕紅豆冰", 真係好特別, 好有 "綽頭"...... 見到呢兩樣咁有 "特色" 既甜品, 我地成班簡直大開眼界, 睇到 O 晒咀, 只怪我地自己平日見識少, 唔知道原來 "楊枝金露" 同 "雪糕紅豆冰" 應該係咁樣既...... 簡直本末倒置~!!! 至於其他凍既甜品亦不值一提, 雖然未至於以上兩款甜品咁令人震驚, 但眾人既評語卻頗為一致 呢度既所有糖水都係過甜, 睇到第四張相片, 你就會知我地食剩左幾多, 真係從來未試過。

當大家食凍既糖水食到毫無面色可言之際, 席間突然有人破斧尋舟, 再叫一碗熱既冰糖燉蓮子蜜棗, 又竟然俾佢 "絕地反擊" 成功, 成為全晚最正常和稱得上 "幾好" 既一道甜品。

講完食品, 更加唔可以唔講既係該店既低劣服務態度。

店鋪只有該店老闆和一名服務員, 服務員落單, 老闆則負責準備甜品。

我地進入店鋪既時候, 只有另外一檯客人。

店鋪未坐滿, 已經出現嚴重的漏單同落錯單的情況發生。

我地叫了九道甜品, 竟然有三道落錯單, 例如叫 "冰粉" 就黎左 "涼粉", 到第三道落錯單既甜品上檯既時候, 叫呢道甜品既朋友已經廢事講, 硬著頭皮食個來錯左既甜品。

另外兩道甜品則姍姍來遲, 要追左兩三次, 店員先幫手跟。

加埋上面提及既兩款 "本末倒置" 甜品, 到頭來只有兩款甜品係晌冇落錯單同漏單既情況下出來既 "正常" 貨色﹐實在令人側目。

最令人憤怒既, 係老闆既惡劣既服務態度~!!! 一班人來到甜品鋪食甜品, 有講有笑乃是人之常情, 但當我地講起一個笑話, 大家一齊笑左幾聲既時候, 老闆竟然用一個非常凌厲和帶有惡意的眼神望過來數秒鐘~!!! 我地感到非常愕然, 席間更有朋友表示不滿, 覺得自己好似身在圖書館一樣..... 同場既另一檯客人亦是有講有笑, 亦沒有對我們作出投訴, 很不明白為甚麼該店老闆會作出如此舉動。

當我們結賬埋單既時候, 老闆更向負責俾錢既朋友勸喻一番, 並說: "你地好嘈.... "嘈!?!? 我相信呢位老闆一定冇光顧過旺角既糖水鋪, 如果我地身在那裡, 一定會是較細聲既一群, 正如那位朋友所講, 不如開間圖書館吧~!!! 咁樣既甜品和服務態度, 實在不敢恭維, 加上該區既甜品店林立, 實在好難想像 "甜苑" 既生存空間在那........

琴日10月7號見假無野做同男朋友去行深水埗落車之後行過呢間鋪..就睇下個menu,,發覺價錢好吸引,,唔貴過25蚊依家出面咩都加價,,糖水最平都十幾蚊,,難得咁平想同男朋友試下啦,,但見到間鋪好似拍晒烏蠅咁..所以都係抱住麻麻既心態入去,,男朋友嗌左個芒沙加西米個老闆見佢飲左幾啖幫佢加晒淨落果D..真係好好人我嗌左碗 雜果至尊 ,,好足料!西瓜汁底又清甜又冰凍,正>v<"之後黎左個客要個糖水,,冇講凍熱結果老細比左個凍既佢,,個客邊食邊講話"冇熱架咩?"個老細即刻道歉,又作出承諾改善真係好好態度!下次一定要再去!
