the pizzas were a total disappointment. not only were they wet and oily, the toppings of meat were so tiny and unevenly distributed.the pepperoni was nowhere to be found. The thin crust was undercooked,just wrongly done. we don’t just come here just for the view, the food needs to measure up as well.
We came here at 3pm on a Sunday afternoon and waited for 5 mins for a 2 people table. Its my second visit here. For first visit, I ordered a takeout pizza to eat it on the beach. This time I decided to eat in as outside was too hot and beach was packed. Anyway back to the restaurant, the food is good in general. We ordered a pepperoni pizza ($170), kale salad ($100), gelato ($50), french fries ($50) and a flat white to share. The Pepperoni pizza and salad are delicious and portion are big too! Yet french fries is a bit disappointing, it tastes the same as Mcd fries ( not saying i don’t like mcd, but with this price i was expecting a better quality one). Overall experience is good, the price is fair too given there is a nice sea view.
Despite the pizza being alright, the unpleasant service unfortunately ruins the whole experience. Waiters claimed that the numerous empty tables were all reserved and requested us to sit at the bar. We requested a table again after ordering more food than others that were sat at tables, they again refused. The empty tables remained empty for the next 2 hours. Go figure. Bartender was coughing and sneezing, same as with our last visit a few months ago. Service was equally unpleasant back then.
We planned to go for a sun bath and swimming at Repulse Bay on a Sat morning and we had lunch here.The menu is not really diversified and mainly served with pizza. Well this even lifted up my expectation on the quality of the pizza. However, I am sorry to say there is still much room for improvement. The pizza itself is not cripsy enough and the mushroom taste a little weird. The best is the sausage among the ingredient.All in all, if you would like to chill a bit its fine but dont expect much on their pizza!
