Q-Bay Burger推介
Juicy burger beef; warmly toasted bun; clean and tidy environment Home made salad dressing is surprisingly good. The burger comes with fries but I asked to have salad instead. The owner was very nice and said no problem at all. We were the last couple of costumers. The owner went out to get something after he made us the burgers. We were left in the restaurant alone and felt like dining in a private room. Will come again for sure.

Tried this tiny little burger joint in Quarry Bay, and they definitely serve a great burger.Kind of saw this place close by Tai Koo Place on my drive home in the evening. The place was pretty much empty. Order a Milano Burger (bacon and cheese burger) to goThe owner? asked how I want the beef (medium, rare. etc) and then how I want the bacon. A lot of burger joints just give you they cook ( like I made it you eat it ...) so I was pleasantly surprised. The burger comes with fries which were made when ordered (none of those soggy fries sitting under a heat lamp thing). Definitely worth the 5minute wait. The burger tasted fabulous, juicy and definitely medium rare as I ordered it.Very impressed indeed!
living around, I've been longing for this burger place for some time. the tiny restaurant is owned by whom I believe is a couple. probably from Mid East( ethnically)their burger however, is amazingly 'authentic' American style. I ordered the Qbay burger, with REAL tender beef, freshly cooked together with fries. moreover I found half melt cheese and fresh vegetables(a lot) in it! one thing could be betterif the set includes drink (their specially made tea charges for extra $10)I ordered takeaway, even the takeaway box was cute.love it
I like burger.Of course I will give a try for anyshop. The shop is run by one guy, ordering, cashier, cooking. I ordered a standard set (Q Bay burger). When I try a new shop I always go with the standard first. All sets come with fries and drink. The burger is amazingly delicious. The meat is juicy and the fries are also good.I chat with the chef/owner.He came to Hong Kong for many years and is used to be a chef in Peninsula Hotel. He said the beef is coming from New Zealand, which is great as it is not from US.The potato is coming from Europe. Also he serves only one kind of drink which is lemon tea.As a anticoke person which coke is so unhealthy if not hazardous, I admire his choice of not offering any coke which is uncommon for lots of customer.Definitely with come next time to try other flavor.
I had been here once a couple of months ago, the owner was seemingly nice and friendly at that time and the food wasn't too bad for the price. So I decided to come here again tonight for a burger.I ordered the Milano (78 HKD), which was basically a bacon cheese burger. The burger bun was undertoasted and too flaky for my liking. It would've been better if they had toasted it with some butter. The burger patty itself was ok, though it wasn't as juicy as I had remembered it to be. Bacon was also ok, but would've appreciated it more if it had been crispier. I guess the only plus were the fries, which were nice and crispy, but isn't much to brag about, given that they were pretty standard bought out of the store, albeit in thick cut. The place also has a selfserved lemon ice tea stand, which is pretty thirst quenching on a hot day. I had presumed it was free, since last time I was here, I wasn't charged anything for it; so I again helped myself to the tea this time. Then another customer asked the owner for a cup of water, which the owner said he didn't have, only lemon ice tea, FOR FREE. I specifically heard him utter the words the tea was FREE OF CHARGE. So one would of course assume the tea was free of charge, which is also consistent with my past experience.Who would have thought that when I got up to pay the bill, the owner told me that my bill was 88 HKD, as opposed to 78 HKD, which is the price tag for the Milano. I felt a bit confused and asked him again, and he said the tea cost 10 HKD.At this point I was kind of surprised so I told him I thought it was free. The owner shook his head and said to me: "Do you think I charge the tea for nothing? It's 10 dollars!" I replied: "But last time I was here, it was free of charge. Also, nowhere does it say, not on your menu, not on your blackboard, and definitely not on the tea stand, does it say the tea costs 10 HKD; and you literally just told that guy over there that it's free!" The owner again shook his head angrily and said that he didn't charge the other guy for the tea because he was a first comer and that he didn't ACTUALLY take the tea... I'm not sure what sort of logic he was following. Does this mean that he was just saying the tea was FREE, and the moment you actually take it, he's going to automatically charge you for it?So I told him again that last time I was here, I wasn't charged for the tea as well, and again, there's no sign anywhere that says the tea costs 10 dollars. But hey, if you want me to pay, I'll pay.At this point, I have no idea why, but the owner sort of just flipped out at me and didn't want to take my money and told me angrily to go. So I told him that I was going to pay for what my burger cost, which is 78 HKD, and if you want to charge for the tea. Fine, I'll pay for that as well. But please put up a sign or something that EXPLICITLY says it costs 10 dollars."In the end he pushed back my additional 10 dollar bill but took my 78 HKD and said to me: "I don't want you to show your face in here ever again." So I left, absolutely confused at what I had done to deserve this sort of attitude from him.***Look, I'm absolutely fine with the owner charging 10 bucks for his ice tea, as long as he puts the price tag at least SOMEWHERE in his shop. But saying to one customer that it's free and then turning around to charge another customer (me) 10 bucks without any sign or price tag saying it cost 10 bucks; I think it's pretty clear that he's just trying to rip people off, which is totally unacceptable to me.Anyways, I've been warned not to "show my face ever again" at his place, so that's that; like I would possibly even want to go back after that sort of treatment from the owner...
