難得放假一天去Soho睇下食咩好!在無事先book定枱情況下得一間有位就試試,先來個微溫的免費麵包都ok,最想不到竟然有烤全個蒜頭(之前只係響跑馬地間大太陽吃過)因為好少西餐廳有供應。

starter係店員推薦白酒煮青口$118,向洋人開西餐萬萬無想都係開邊急凍真的意外同茶餐廳無分別主菜海鮮扁意粉味道尚可有濃郁蒜頭味有白酒香醇,但是又係急凍海鮮仲要係街市一般都一般的貨源,吃剩下海鮮。

茄汁大蝦意粉味道幾好有用很多車厘茄打汁有加香草,隻大蝦雖然是急凍貨色但有蝦膏同蝦味道少了d雪味,係唯一正常洋人西餐廳應該有的!唔怪得之佢有位啦!收佰幾兩佰一個意粉比急凍貨人食,佢可能係全條soho最差的之一

我沒有到過意大利,不太了解意大利菜,但既然過往的食客都在這樣留下好印象,我跟朋友就決定一試這l裡的意菜。

一進入waitress笑面迎人,內裡有開放式的廚房,亦擺設了不少畫和陶瓷,一切來的很warm。

幫我倆安排較寬闊的座位坐下。

才剛坐下,隨即送上menu和麵包。

我們看了會menu,選擇不少。

不論在starter, pizza, pasta 和其他的main都各有二十多款選擇,令人心大心細。

麵包在常溫,沒有再烘熱過。

一片片的麵包(大概是Ciabatta)很乾,其他的麵包雖然不太新鮮,但都因為加了大量olive oil,也能保持鬆軟,其後拿來沾醬都不錯。

我們先要了mussel和risotto。

Mussel(HK$118)先到。

這令我有點意想不到,我還以為是一籃(或一碗)細細的青口浸著湯上碟的。

但原來是幾件大的青口上加些調味。

青口肉質說不上非常嫩滑鮮甜,但合格。

吃下有蒜頭的咸味,但沒有太大驚喜。

碟底的湯味道比較油和清,其實也不太對我們的口味。

lobster & seafood risotto in white wine sauce (HK$248)我從未正式到意大利餐館吃risotto,這個令我留下很好的印象。

risotto以蕃茄和白酒一同煮,當中加入香草和Parmesan,香氣四溢。

意大利飯的硬度也剛好,很有咬口。

每粒都吸收了sauce的精華,彼此黏貼著有點creamy而又不會似糊狀,裡頭的蝦細小的而且爽脆,真的很好吃。

龍蝦亦燒得很好,肉質新鮮軟滑,跟上半融的芝士更是合拍。

我倆說說笑笑,相信剛吃下的卡路里都消耗一大半了,所以再心思思點多一份main。

在洋人主管的餐廳吃飯的有趣之處,在沒有圖沒有真相之下,往往不知道他的presentation。

當你的想像與食物真相有出入時,都幾有趣。

我們從未吃過Saltimbocca,只見description 寫上"Tridiation Italian Classic Dish means jumps in the mouth, Pork Filet wrapped with Parma Ham" 友人亦想吃豬,我亦想像它是parma ham豬肉卷,那不如就孤注一擲,吃它!Saltimbocca alla Romana (HK$218)來到了,完全跟我想像中的豬肉卷完全不用,我心裡為自己的見識,笑埸了。

有兩片手掌大的肉在碟上,我們還走去問waitress.. "Hummm.. Excuse me.. Where is the parma ham?" 之後對方用利大意口味說" it's wrapped into pork"哈哈哈…謝謝妳對無知女孩的耐性。

豬扒很薄,伴上烤蔬菜和檸檬汁。

蔬菜很油,所以不太討喜。

檸檬汁亦偏甜,跟豬肉吃起來還好,沒有女讓小妹眼前一亮。

但豬扒卻煎得不錯,很喜歡它像荷包蛋一樣,外邊香脆。

中間的肉大概薄了一點,較乾是正常吧。

如朋友所說,我們都偏向juicy的肉。

我們終於看到parma ham了,哈哈!豬扒的味很濃,令巴馬火腿的味道變得謙虛了,形成調味的角色。

而且只有中間一片薄薄的,二百幾蚊氾港幣吃起來不太化算。

其實已經吃得很飽,但甜品還是要出現的~Tiramisu (HK$75)是玫瑰形狀的Tiramisuuu,很可愛啊!而且ladyfingers和mascarpone的比例差不多一半,不錯不錯。

而且espresso 和酒的香味都很特出,可惜mascarpone不夠香濃而扣分了,芝士味比較淡,但整體也比合格要好了。

Melting chocolate pudding with Vanilla icecream (HK$78)這個看起來亦很漂亮 中間切開有流心,但對我來說朱古力的濃度不夠,還可以再濃一點。

Pudding很鬆軟,外面有點脆,更加好吃。

雪糕比心太軟獲更多好評,因為vanilla味道很香又細滑!這裡的氣氛很快樂,侍應很親切,chef亦會在場問侯。

在期待和揭曉的驚喜下,我們都過了開心的晚上。

We had dinner here on a wednesday. There was this special that you get 50% discount on bottles of wines. So we made a reservation to go there. We had a wonderfull dinner. Bread, olive oil, parmezan cheese and garlic are included the menu. I asked a starter salad as a main, so they made it bigger for me, that was no problem. After the dinner, we ordered another bottle of red wine and the cheese platter, that was also very good, we asked for some extra bread and that was no problem. The service was very good. We came back here the week after our dinner, the next wednesday, because of the special wine prices. 

在同事極力推介下一齊去Sole Mio食lunch, 揀pizza既set lunch約$110, 我地三人叫左兩個set (pizza), 前菜green salad很新鮮, 剛剛出爐既大pizza係薄底的, 十分脆! 味道不錯, 芝士味夠濃! 至於餐飲, 屬一般, 但整體來講都令人好滿意! 與朋友gathering可選Sole Mio, 環境清幽, 閒聊一流!

I have seen this place around for years but never tried it until now.It was almost completely full on a week night so I figured it must be good.The tables were packed into a small space but I never felt like I was close enough to be dining with strangers at the next table like some other restaurants.The menu had a nice variety of dishes and so many sounded good that I wished I had come with a larger party so I could have tried more.The free bread had quite a variety and was very tasty. There was a black color bread roll, a regular white bread roll, some small slices of bread, and something that was like a bread stick but flat (better than a regular bread stick). It also came with a clove of roasted garlic and some garlic olive oil. Even though the olive oil was quite thick with garlic inside it was quite mild.The soup of the day was porcini mushroom & truffle. When it first came I was surprised by the huge portion size and how it looked like a thick soup that had been watered down and then a teaspoon of truffle oil just placed in the middle. But the taste more than compensated for the look, it had a nice mushroom flavor with a good amount of truffle flavor.I love blue cheese so I went for the Gnocchi Al Gorgonzola. The presentation was quite plain but it had a lot of sauce just how I like it and the smell was rich and cheesy so I was really looking forward to my first bite. Unfortunately there was no blue cheese flavor at all. My second choice was going to be the ravioli in a mascarpone sauce and I wonder if the two sauces may have gotten mixed up by accident. My companion who normally hates blue cheese thought it was great so I definitely knew there was no gorgonzola in my dish.Don't get me wrong, the dish was cheesy and delicious but it was ultimately disappointing when I was expecting a gorgonzola kick.My companion had the Involtini Alla Boscaiola. I wasn't sure what a Boscaiola was but from the description (pan fried beef rolls stuffed with ham, mushrooms, & cheese, it sounded like a Braciole and that is what it turned out to be. I have tried Braciole at a couple of different Italian places around Hong Kong and in fact this was the best one I have tried. It could have used some more sauce (it seemed more for show than actual flavoring) but the meat roll itself was very nice.For dessert I had the Tiramisu and I wish I had tried something else. It had very little flavor overall and there was an overwhelming amount of tasteless mascarpone cheese.While in general food is the most important thing in a restaurant, at this place it is the service. I have been to restaurants in Hong Kong with better service but never one that seems quite as friendly. It is as if every guest is an old family friend. Maybe that night there were just an exceptional number of regular clientele but it felt like the old TV show Cheers: "where everybody knows your name." I will be going back to sample some of the other items on the menu and see if the friendly atmosphere was just an exception or a regular occurrence.
