同女朋友5點左右去左CHOCOLUX度試下佢個72% HOT CHOCOLATE..叫左2杯中既...好好飲同好RICH既HOT CHOCOLATE..又唔會好似KOKOBLACK / VERO 果D好似食緊CHOCOLATE咁..仲超大杯..飲完之後我同GF都食唔到DINNER...下次一定試埋佢D CAKES!

This is one of the best chocolate cakes EVER!!!It's very rich but not too sweet!A 6" is only $99 at the moment!!!There is also Mocha available...this is a MUST EAT for chocolate and cake lovers!!!

Chocolux, being one of the pioneers in the local scene of chocolate specialty shops, its wow factor seemed to have waned as more and more chocolate brands, both local and international ones, set foot over the last couple of years. But I've tried it out anyway. Without the reknowned chocolate fondue and makeityourself hot chocolate from Chocolux on Peel Street, Chocolux Cafe in turn offers a little sweet pitstop for the busy urbanites around. Been here once for its Chocolate Egg Tart (I've written this in a previous review http://www.openrice.com/restaurant/commentdetail.htm?commentid=1913106), now it's time to try something else. It's quite a wonder to me that Chocolux's crepes could actually be one of its specialties. The crepe was made to precision, with crispy edges yet paper thin but stretchy on the inside. The chicken & guacamole (avocado, potato, tomato) was on the dry side though, the up side was that the whole thing was actually quite filling as a meal. I used the coupon printed off Chocolux's website to enjoy a free Truffle (original price ($12). I'd say it was quite a disappointment as the chocolate was rather homogeneous, lacking the usual “crisp outside but soft inside” expected of a chocolate truffle. Taste was not bad, but should I be expecting more from a chocolate shop's chocolates?I decided to give Chocolux to redeem itself by getting a hot chocolate.Now this is the way to go. Rich and velvety smooth, it was full of chocolateness without being sickly sticky on your teeth. The flavour was rather straightforward, so if you want some real “bittersweet” character from it, go somewhere else or try to ask the lady to put less sugar in it. (I haven't tried, but my chocolate was still as bit too sweet for me...I wasn't so much of a 甜魔 after all.)

是日lunch不想吃得太豐富, chocolux既lunch set有crepe食, 所以過左去pp3試埋佢個朱古力食客不多, 要了個chicken and guacamole crepe set ($58), 加$10可以轉50%/72% cocoa既朱古力, 揀左後者, 雖然係大熱天時, 但係都揀左熱飲crepe: 個皮煎得幾靚, 少少燶, 薄薄地幾脆幾可口, 入面既餡亦幾豐富, 雞肉, 牛油果醬, 薯仔粒, 蕃茄, 同埋芝士, 好足料, 望落好似幾薄身細件, 但係其實食晒都幾飽, 同埋一定要趁熱食, 影多兩張相個crepe放涼左就冇咁脆, 立即失色不少!72% cocoa hot chocolate: 朱古力可可濃度真係幾高, 不過bitter味唔夠, 只係一味夠濃, 以signature drink黎講勉強合格, 因為都唔細杯, 後尾飲到好滯飲唔晒classic dark truffle: 去佢個網見到有張coupon, 凡惠顧就送一粒truffle, 仲有dark rum揀, 不過試左原味dark先~可可粉佈滿truffle既外層, 咬落去係微脆既朱古力, 之後半溶既朱古力迅即流出來, 涼涼的, 很滑很creamy, 係口腔中打滾, 甜苦味同時輕易感受到, 我這個朱古力迷就這樣滿足了~環境: cafe係pp既通道一旁, 午飯時間經過的人亦特別多, 吃起來時比較拘謹, 不過軟墊椅坐得蠻舒服服務: 侍應服務周到, 落order既時候truffle takeaway, 本身跟埋crepe一齊俾我, 不過隔一陣侍應話驚佢會溶幫我雪住先, 夠細心食物: 要個light d既lunch, 係個不錯既選擇, 唯其他食物比signature drink表現得更出色

I don't know why i didn't go to this shop before, even it has a shop in Central and i did pass through several times, but i just didn't go into the shop and give a try. And i finally has a chance to have the chocolate products from Chocolux.Went there with a friend before french lesson. We ordered two Tea Sets.Mine Macaron + Truffle + 72% Hot ChocolateI did like the Macaron which was chocolate flavour. But that chocolate flavour wasn't too strong, but good enough. One piece of Truffle, that strong chocolate flavour made me feel very full, one piece is enough for tea set , i couldn't take another piece if had.And plus $10 for 72% hot chocolate, it is different from the other chocolate shops for sure, but it wasn't bad. but i like VERO hot chocolate's texture and flavour more.....Friend Melton Chocolate Cake + Hot LatteI didn't taste it. "Pretty Small", that is what i can say about it. and my friend, he didn't like Hot Latte from this shop.I'm sure there is a next time for trying out other products.
