Bird's nest is such a popular delicacy for the chinese including claimed health benefits, its so strange that not many reviews have been written solely on Bird's nest, although there have been reviews on items that contain bird's nest ie egg tarts. For less than $200 dollars, this gift set of bird's nest comes with a small box of dried fish maw.To be precise the set was priced at $179.Basically the box contains 5 bottles of birds nest, it was labelled "unsweetened" even though the label states there are slight flavourings in it.I was slightly dissappointed it was flavoured, because I wanted to taste it in its most natural form.Luckily the sweetness wasnt sweet, its colour was golden orange, almost if it was artificially coloured too!I consumed it as a drink, most of the contents was liquid with pieces of bird's nest.The texture of the bird's nest bits reminded me of Hasma, and there were some chewy bits too which was like chewing on meat strands.
