Easily the best Italian dining experience in Hong Kong and beats many restaurants in Italy for sure. Really a special place that I would come back again and again.Cozy is not the word. But it is private, as the set up is like a sushi bar with about 12 seats. Chef is Italian. Very knowledgeable about Italian food and we carried on a fascinating conversation.He said he tries to be different by offering an uncompromising Italian taste. Too many very skillful Italian chefs in Hong Kong but he said somehow they all modified their cuisine towards Hong Kong taste. First course eggplants Parmagian. Sure does not sound like much but delicious. The eggplant was twice cooked. First fried to intensify the taste and then slowly cooked to softness. Tomato sauce and Parmesan cheese go on top and baked until very browned on top. The whole thing is like a lasagne but fairly thin, a bit crispy on top. He has a keen sense of timing and browning. As he also achieved in the lamb chops for our main course. The pasta course was carbonara. Chef said the surprise is, carbonara is a modern dish that didn't really became popular until the 1980s, and was probably invented in America. His remembered having it when young, and cream was used. For our lunch, no cream. Al dents pasta. Quite filling The torta was fabulous. With fresh whipped cream. It was past 3.30pm as we were finishing up, and we went on to percolate coffee. Love the percolator method. Haven't had that for a long time. The top was opened and we were looking at the color and oily feel of the coffee coming up. It just felt like as if we were cooking together. I would say Segreto is worth trying for taste as much as Da Domenico. Probably at a fraction of the price and very interest chats with a knowledgeable chef.

We had a party of 12 pax.For $800 per pax we had three courses.A soup salad and a pasta. We supposedly booked the place out but instead he had a girl friend come in and eat with us.There wasn’t enough food for our party to share already but he had his friend sit at the counter with us. Absolute ripoff n way over his head

Our friend booked through the website and got their email confirmation for 4 ppl at 7:45pm. We arrived at 7:30 and hoping to get a little drink before settling in for a nice dinner. Now we are at this door and locked out. We called the restaurant and this Italian chef said he manually cancelled our booking last week. We were like 🙄 what? We didn’t get a call or a simple email for the cancellation. He further blamed the paid third party that handle his call, not once did he apologise for this ordeal, nor did he try to reschedule for us. His Attitude was terrible he hung up on us (our lady friend), I seriously think he should be working in the back of a restaurant and not somewhere he deals with customers and be in business. Funny thing was he claimed his restaurant is very famous and needs to reserve weeks ahead of time during this whole ordeal. And he tried to explain to us what “advance” means. Wow. Needless to say we were pretty upset after he said those things.

It is absolutely fantastic dinning experience!!  Gotta say that the homemade Italian food was really good, so yum yummy. We, 3 girls went there for chillout dinner! it was really night for the vibe that we join with another group around another 10 people. They celebrated a birthday, we also sing for them!!!  The place is very cozy, with max around 14 seats surrounding the chef (the Owner) for the whole dinning experiences, The kitchen & The Owner has the style and his artistic personality that you would never feel bored for the night there. Also if you liked cooking, it is good opportunity to pick up some skill and receipt from the chief and he loves sharing!! We chose the "Rome" menu for the night, and I gotta say impressive for every dish.  It served the best pasta I so far had in my life indeed. It offers also other great variety food dishes in the menu,  they are perfect combination and delicious! I hope to come back soon with my girlfriends and having fun there!Reservation is needed!
