Trust me being a great fan of Sichuan food, I have been to lots of "private kitchen" places in HK already. But this place still offers some nice surprise for me and my friends. Unlike other places, they only offer a fixed menu, and so what you get depends really on the chef ! For the 3 of us, we were given lots of items to eat, and the portions were quite big ! For the cold dishes, the 口水雞, 麻辣牛肚, 麻辣皮疍 and 涼伴苦瓜were all very niceNext came the 南瓜粉蒸排骨 the only nonspicy dish of the night, which was also nice with the 排骨 so tender it almost melt in your mouth. Next came some soup ? with pork and vegetables before the really hot dishes came ! The 水煮魚 and 水煮牛肉 were both authetic and delicious especially the fish, which must be ranked one the best I have tried so far ! The other dish, the spicy Sichuan styled duck was also fine, with the duck being smoked before it was cooked in chilli, giving it a nice smokey flavor in addition to being hot and spicy. By this time we were already full, but then when we were given the last dish of the night, 麻婆豆付, we all felt obliged to finish it as it was so delicious ! At the end we got really stuffed, and the complimentary fruit plate that came at the end was a real blessing. Service was fine and we got a small room all by ourselves for the whole dinner. Although some may complain about the price (300 per head), we think it is worth it. Will probably come back again to try the other stuff here.
