一早要去報名參加暑假活動，趁未開始時去附近食個早餐，天氣好唔穩定，間歇性大雨，唔想行大遠，去廣場揀咗間呢間，地方好大，唔使等位，環境好舒服，配搭好得意，好似屋企客廳+咖啡店+糖果店嘅混合體，中央兩大張梳化連茶几，靠牆有個櫃放滿好多不同款式嘅糖果，又有海豚搖搖玩具，仲有一大箱玩具比小朋友玩，氣氛好輕鬆！其他位置係籐椅加小圓枱，場內有一枱外國人，我哋坐小圓枱（不過發現係歪嘅）我再去櫃檯買餐，餐牌全英文（我都有點擔心講英文）好在店員係中文人，佢有講解，有推介，落好單見可以八達通比錢，點知壞機，所以改用信用卡！（不過埋單佢只比信用卡收據，無比餐廳收據，所以都唔知實際有無加一）店員會問定我嘅座位！之後攞餐比我！All day breakfast($115)賣相唔錯，麵包可以揀，我揀了麥包，微脆，有咬口，幾好！牛油幾香！雞蛋都可以揀煮法（所以怕要用英文講）我揀炒蛋，炒蛋比較老，唔似平時茶餐廳咁滑！無乜味！蕃茄唔夠熱，茄汁豆唔係平時嘅罐頭，味道好怪，酸酸地好似乳酪味咁，唔習慣！香腸係唯一好味，脆皮又夠熱，有肉汁！Mocha($35)紅色瓦杯，不過比想像人賣相求其，泡沫無拉花，仲唔挺，味道朱古力味重啲，咖啡順口，易入口！Lemonade：店員話用新鮮檸檬汁開嘅，好酸，要加多啲糖水，幾清新！食物好一般（可能佢嘅蛋糕麵包出名啲喇）女店員好nice,上菜時會比多隻碟，上Lemonade時又會講可能酸啲，要糖水可以出聲！肥髀試完就去攞糖水！

赤柱廣場地下全是食店 然而對它一見傾心原因是裝潢帶有強烈的親切感而且休閒感突出近門口的室內地方還撐起太陽傘餐廳地方挺大 有兩邊門口小門那邊穿進來是一個音樂小角落不好意思去翻裡面的東西 所以不知道放着的唱片是什麼類型的音樂但看起來充滿懷舊感看過餐廳的網頁 得知這裡曾舉辦一些音樂會想想在這環境下欣賞音樂表演應該很陶醉餐廳採用多種不同原素進來後人也精神起來 想要探索每一個角落各種出售的小物與糖果使餐廳環境更活潑可愛每一件都想一探究竟感覺置身於懷舊零食店這家餐廳樓底明顯比一般餐廳要高空間感充足是打造舒適環境的重要原素暖色調的裝修 配上藤椅與沙發靠墊在這裡休閒地待上一個下午正好不過這家餐廳相對旁邊幾家人流明顯的少而且店員不會理會客人坐多久大可安心在這裡放空大半天這裡雖然有酒提供 不過環境還是喝咖啡比較相襯但要是晚上在這裡辦個音樂會 喝着酒又是別有一番滋味除了牆上一架又一架的糖果充滿懷舊感必要數這個投幣機動遊戲雖然現在還有投幣機動遊戲 但款色花巧多了這種簡單的才有年代久遠的感覺對環境非常滿意 但還是得說說食物咖啡點了一杯小的Latte 味道雖然不見出色但喝起來還不錯 香氣、咖啡濃度、甘苦度算是平衡因為事前在網上打聽過這家餐廳的評價近乎是一面倒的負評 再看人流特別少早就對食物不抱期望所以咖啡能夠有這種程度已是喜出望外這盤食物真的非常有自家製的感覺這樣說並非讚美 而是說它的質素就是家裡做出來還不夠格拿去賣的水平Coleslaw salad比在澳洲KFC吃過的還要差沙律醬一陣奇怪的味道 不是說變壞了那種怪味彷彿是自己初嘗做菜 還拿不準做法搞出來的怪味不過還沒有難吃到吃不下 只是味道不討好Aussie beef pie皮厚而硬餅皮麵粉味重就像沒好好煮過硬的程度又像翻熱過多次餡料是肉醬意粉那種肉醬 吃起來口感粗糙單調感覺只是肉碎粗略地糊了一大坨蕃茄醬不過餡料說到底也不及餅皮差整體跟Coleslaw salad一樣不到難吃到吃不下 但味道實在不討好網上評價大多狠批餐廳員工的服務態度待了一個下午 看到兩個員工表現一個是外國女生 親切笑容好 跟客人有主動交流另一個是本地女人 不太願意招待本地人對外國人態度則好上一點所以服務好不好實在視乎碰上誰了不過我來這裡只求輕鬆舒適坐上大半天下次還是先在別處吃飽後來點一杯咖啡這樣的話性價比將會大大提高

This is my first review on OpenRice, I've never had such strong feelings about a restaurant that prompted me to write a review, until today.We had lunch in here about 2 years ago, and had mixed feelings. We decided to come back one day for lunch a few months back, and we were left with a different impression altogether.On this occasion, the Australian woman serving on this occasion was very impatient and rude. I make a point of being polite to serving staff, having worked in the food industry years back, but my questions about the menu were met with condescending answers and a totally unnecessary attitude. OK, I understand everyone has an off day, so I let it go. The place appeared to be either understaffed, or very poorly organised.We ate lunch, my wife had a tuna sandwich, which she says tasted very odd. My daughter had the same, and refused to eat it. I had a microwaved pie, which tasted like it sounds. Not good. We waited a too long for our food and drinks, which were not good value at all, pretty expensive for poor quality food.After this his let down of lunch, we decided not to bother with cake, even though what they had looked great. We left the restaurant with a promise never to return, having recalled during our visit the rude staff from the last time.Today, we had a nice lunch elsewhere in Stanley, and foolishly, decided to look at the cakes on offer in Saffron. Everything looked good, so we broke our promise and ordered. With hindsight, the rude staff should have put us off and we should have taken ourselves to Starbucks a few doors down. Once again, the staff were rude, impatient, questions about the cakes seemed unwelcome. We waited at least 20 minutes for coffee and cake to be brought to the table. Again, far from good value, about $180 for 2 slices of cake, a cake pop and a latte. Now, I pay this amount for the same all the time, but when I do, I expect great food. The apple pie appeared to be homemade, soggy, and more pastry than apple. Chocolate cake was insipid, didn't taste of much. The cake pop was actually quite nice.I'm going to keep my promise this time. I am NEVER eating in this place again. 

first impressions cafe interior, menu, breads cakes and pastries all look appealing so decided to get a quick bite. ordered a dill tuna roll, which was recommended on a type of bread roll they had, which they actually didn't have. that's okay. bagel? no? how about brown bread? not available either. so we chose a wrap. 20 minutes later we got called to collect our meal. at least the cafe was kind of interesting to keep us busy. the roll was cut into 2, pale as ever and barely warmed, showing the most unappealing filling a mush of tomato with a tiny bit of green. no sign of any dill. the taste was as boring as it looked. a sad brown. if there was a bit of colour, a little bunch of salad or something to freshen up the plate it would've helped. but nothing. it was like a prepacked lunch wrap straight from the fridge of a convenience store, thrown onto a plate.for $65, we can easily say that we were let down. my goodness, put some love in the food please! 

Cleanliness: The tables are all sticky, probably leftover of syrup or sugarleftover. All toys for children scatter around on the floor. After ordered, trash and newspaper everywhere in their kitchen area.Time: ordered two simple drinks, one decaf mocha and one lemonade, $48 (!!) each. Waited for a good lordy 30 mins, drinks still not show up. Went up to counter to ask, not until then they start making the drinks, which could well be done in 1 min.Taste: Decaf mocha is okay, usual type, presentation just soso. The lemonade was disastrous, just lemon juice with ice, not even any syrup in it.
