This was the worst experience we have had for arranging a large get together in HK. I booked the restaurant (TST branch) and told the manager that we will be 35 Adults + 10 kids (over 5) and 14 kids (under 5). I crearly told him that if we have more people we will pay for it and if we have less, we will still pay for 35 Adults and 10 kids1. the manager had this attitude towards the end as if he doing a favour by "booking" the reaturant which is mostly empty for us.2. We were charged 185$/head instead of the usual 125$ and were told that we will have extra dishes for the sunday lunch. well the only extrs dish was a chicken biryani where you had to dive into the rice to find any chicken, pathetic. Why shall we pay 65$/head for the same lunch buffet thats charged at 125. Forget about being given a party discount, we were overcharged3. The usual kebab platter is served for 2 poeple/platter. For us , people were complaning about kebabs not being served. I had to ask the staff 10 times for them to bring some platter. all through this, the manager's attitude continued.4. one drink was included and again a lot of people did not even get the drinks. The staff basically waited for me to ask them 3 times for them to bring anything5. In the end, we asked for Tea. 20 misn later, the Tea came in micro expresso coffee cups and it was cold. Half of the people did not even get these6. the Naan bread was served as if these have to be baked in buckingham palace.7. the best part if in the end, I had counted everyone and knew how many we were. 36 Adults and 13 kids. Some of my friends chose to pay thru credit cards. and for the rest, I collected money. When the final bill came, he har charged 39 adults and 14 kids and the manager argued with me about some unseen people he had seen in our party. When I tried to show him the exact count, he started arguing again on how we had taken more seats and the 13 kids below 5 who did not eat anything at all. This is the kind of attitude you get for paying a 8600$ bill.!!! basically we were overcharged for no justification whatsoever8. in short, the food was average at best and the service was worst than what you call pathetic. Never ever think about going here or having a big get together here
