I went to Gio's on New Year's Eve, and had an unforgettable experience.The entree was served hot. Although they did not ask me how I wanted the steak cooked, they gave me a perfectly prepared mediumrare beef tenderloin, which I enjoyed tremendously.The soup was a very nice bean soup that is very rarely found in restaurants in HK.The waiter was polite & nice. And I had a good talk with Helen and Gary, the owners of the restaurant too! Gary told me they would be moving to Soho in March, and will be using another name. And Gio's at Hillwood Road would be closed around the 20th of January, so they can concentrate on the rennovation of the new place. Although that was my first and last encounter with Gio's. I was really impressed with the quality of food there, and I have to say I am sad to see Gio's gone.

頭盤軟殼蟹沙津同個蕃茄湯不過不失，一行四人叫左四個唔同既main courses o黎share. 最好食係個煎吞拿魚同個燒豬扒. 吞拿魚三成熟左右，一Ｄ都唔“鞋”，加上微酸香醋汁，再有少少spicy，配搭一流！而燒豬扒就好林同好野味，大家都讚不絕口！個大蝦penne 有四隻大蝦咁多，而penne 都好好食。

反而個牛扒配大蝦就比較遜色，須然牛扒冇overcook，但係就冇乜牛肉味。

個browie 加雪糕既甜品都非常唔錯。

加埋咖啡，非常飽滿咁離開。

可以彈既係要收$50 蚊既開瓶費，我地帶白酒去又冇比冰桶。

四個人用左$288 x 4 + $50。

星期日去的,全間餐廳只有我地一枱客, 好有包場feel.值得一試, 價錢合理chef gary 好nice

尋日去左山林道食野~~~去左一間叫gio's既野裝修全完無乜~~咁2個人叫左6個course~~仲有包~~先黎左個軟shell蟹沙律~~~叫菜都叫新鮮..仲有一隻蟹仔算係咁~~之後係周打魚湯....飲完之後開始飽~~嘩~~之後果個三文魚意粉~~~ ~~我都未食個一個咁creamy咁濃既意粉~~~佢仲係好鬼重芝士味喎~三文魚又係半熟到......唔鞋口.跟住係main course~~~成大塊羊扒放係d 薯上面~~~口感完全唔差喎...一d'so'味都冇..羊扒係全熟..但係仲好juicy同好嫩...........食到飽到上心口仲要黎過話品...~~~兩個人六百幾食到飽....仲要係包場果隻...一個waitress...一個老細..+一個廚...serve我地兩個人..我係世人都未試過食過豪既環境~~

I tried this before.It is really bad.I can't find it very italian style and the cook is really bad temper.We asked him to get the beef 100% done, he just refuse to do it and lost his temper and always argue with his assistant / girlfriend so the amtosphere is very bad in the restaurant.The restaurant is not clean enough too.So it is really expensive to spend over $350 for such simple and not tastly food .
