Came here with friends after a killer 8 hour hike. Friends of boyfriend chose this place as they were more familiar with the Tai Po area than the rest of our friends. It was a pretty good choice. I love Chiu Chow and what I love the most is da lang (打冷). Da Lang is different than what is served at Chiu Chow restaurants. It's basically in a dai pai dong setting. These places are only open at night and stay open late, sometimes 2 to 3 AM. Sometimes longer.Note that I didn't take any photos because well ... I hiked for 8 hours (luckily I was the only one who thought to bring a sandwich!) so was too tired to take any food photos on my phone and camera. Plus, my phone was running out of batteries.What we orderedyster congee : this is a popular item when ordering at a da lang. It's basically rice in water with mini oysters and preserved vegetables. Pretty delicious and piping hot.Oyster Omelette : Two huge omelettes were presented to us, stuffed with mini oysters. Omelettes were fried to crispiness.Variety of Soysauce marinated items : a random assortment of  soysauce marinated items such as goose meat, pig's ear, tofu, pig's intestine. This was not overly salty. I wanted to say the internal organs were cleaned pretty well as there was no bitterness to it. If you are not into internal organs, Chiu Chow da lang may not be for you.Jellied Pig's Blood : Exactly as I described it. It's pig's blood that has been gelatinized and cubed like little bit of jelly. I'm not a big fan of these but I had one and it was not as horrible as it sounds.Soysauce marinated goose breast and tofu platter : this included peanuts as well. The marinate was pretty good as it wasn't too salty. Everything was soaked well with the marinade.Soysauce marinated octupus slices : this is possibly one of those favorite items I love when at a Chiu Chow da lang. Slices were soft and juicy.Salt and Pepper fried squid : piping hot, soft and juicy. These were amazing.Pig Intestine Soup : The intestine here was not bitter so it was cleaned well. There was also some preserved vegetables in it to give it a spicy kick.Cold Grey Mullet : It seems when at a da lang, one orders either cold fish or cold crab. I personally, like cold crab more and dip it with rice vinegar but my friends prefered the fish. So we ordered the grey mullet. It is always served cold and you take some meat to dip into a dipping sauce. I'm not a big fan and  thought it was too fishy for me. But my friends thought otherwise and loved it.Portion size was huge. Combined with four bottles of beer, the 8 of us only paid $130 per person for dinner. There is no service charge as it's a dai pa dong. Don't expect it to be clean but they do have indoor seating with air conditioning. And I didn't get sick afterwards so it must have been hygenic. You do need to bring someone who reads as everything is in Chinese.

放工後同一大班同事由將軍澳山長水遠入去食飯,由於此鋪是同事介紹的,大家都好期待今次的飯局~~期待凍蟹啦、蠔餅啦、滷水鵝啦等等﹗由於我們一行共有13人,要兩張枱拍埋一齊先夠坐,氣氛好熱鬧﹗傾下計,飲下啤酒,D菜陸續黎喇,包括有﹕(排名不分先後)1. 炸大腸 (配菠蘿一流)2. 炒麵線 (口感配搭一絶) 推介中的推介3. 滷水鵝件及滷水鵝片 (鵝片係FOR一D懶既同事食的)4. 蠔仔粥5. 蠔餅 (D蠔多到湧出黎,HAHA,好似跨張左,不過真係好足料的)6. 韮菜豬紅7. 椒鹽瀨尿蝦8. 凍蟹 (老闆誠意為我們預備的,好鮮) 推介中的推介9. 大眼雞10. 胡椒豬肚湯全部都好好食,真材實料﹗最重要係老闆既熱情招待同埋好夠凍既啤酒呀﹗今次大家都食得好飽,好滿足﹗ 下次一定會再去食過。

星期日陪男友踢波,完場後跟一眾波友開餐,大班人成 14 個,茶餐廳肯定要分枱座,咁啱又唔過這間晚晚3爆場的潮菜小館,於是便帶大家來。

14 人叫了以下食品︰韮菜豬紅 x 2︰我不食豬紅,所以冇試滷水鵝片︰不吃得鵝,都冇試生腸墨魚︰生腸勁爽口;墨魚片則略嫌過韌蠔餅 x 2︰好大份,煎炸得香脆可口,蠔仔大大隻冇腥味,胡椒粉又少,不用成到嗆晒喉蠔仔粥︰呢個真係冇得頂,蠔仔鮮甜唔腥,湯底仲用金華火腿、瑤柱同熬,好好食雞油豆苗 x 2︰雖然份量偏,不過豆苗炒得不油不膩,不錯椒鹽鮮魷 x 2︰粉漿略嫌過厚,椒鹽欠奉,似酥炸多一點,但鮮魷都算彈牙爽口八珍豆腐煲︰材料充足,有菜、肉片、鮮蝦、冬菇等,絕不欺場,豆腐經油炸後仍不失香滑,抵讚。

惟茨汁過濃,但撈飯一流我們叫了 10 多碗白飯、8 罐汽水、一支大啤酒,埋單不過是 $610,超值!

公司拼盤真係好似大雜會呀...咩都有D...我地好似尋寶咁搵到好多種野食...由於好肚餓既關係?!?...覺得好入味呀...*個腸好爽口蠔仔粥好大的一窩... 好多大大粒的蠔仔呀...忍住口...等凍左少少先食... 唔係又辣親個口架喇...蠔仔都脹卜卜...好有口感呀...粥BO 得淋但仲係一粒粒的! 潮呀~蠔餅 有成3大塊俾我地...次次夾都有蠔仔架... 點左佢個酸酸汁...冇咁熱氣但又好脆口囉~金菇肥牛冇食到呀...不過見佢幾足料...應該好好送飯...沙拉骨=.=' 豬扒+大大堆的沙拉醬= 好肥膩...2樣野係MATCH 唔埋架...金銀旦莧菜好多金銀旦...不過我自己唔LIKE莧菜...SO 只係偷旦食...呵呵...椒絲腐乳炒通菜 好有穫氣呀! 係出街先食到...不過又相對地油左LU....炸魷魚新鮮! 脆皮加彈牙魷魚酥炸大腸 都是肥肥的大腸...配上PINEAPPLE 會覺得對自己HEALTHY D...KAKA...炒鵝腸豉汁? 好惹味呀... 個腸仲好爽口... 又唔STICKEY 架喎...潮州炒麵線貪新鮮叫的...以前未試過...又幾好味喎... 麵線幼幼的...口感軟過米粉...又冇粉C咁彈呀...加左魷魚...芽菜...好似炒3絲...E度愈夜愈有機喎~ 好多街坊生意~店員都是老手的...果然係打冷的風格...不過比起上年...食物好似差左D...是海SIU 的影響嗎?!?!

從未食過咁脆的蠔烙(蠔仔餅), 蠔仔粥更是多料都你都唔信, 除o左一般既料之外, 此家還加入柴魚同肉碎, 味道恰到好處, 唔會搶o左蠔仔的味道!!而且此家份量比一般的還多, 食到好飽呀!! (滿足~開心^ ^)
