It's been a while since the I last went out on a Friday night! Yeah!~~ Happy Friday!! We started off with a nice Margarita (Silver Tequila, fresh lime, agave and orange liqueur) to get us ready in the mood. My first time trying a tostada, and we had Soft Shell Crab Tostada. That was a very bad beginning... To be honest, I wasn't sure if it was supposed to be like that? I expected the bottom to be crunchy, but instead, I thought I was chewing on a piece of half melted plastic?The soft shell crab wasn't good too... but, haha... the grilled pineapple on the side was nice. Lol... maybe because of the strong contrast, to make me liked the pineapple I never liked...I had ceviche at somewhere else and I loved it, so we decided to order this Salmon Leche De Coco Ceviche here. It's Nordic salmon with coconut milk, cucumber and avocado puree. Hmm... to be honest, I did not like it that much. It's still refreshing, and tasted good, but it's too watery. I mean too much coup, like cold soup, and a bit too sour.Okay! Okay! Here came my favourite of the night!! Vegetarian enchilada! Mixed mushrooms, sautéed spinach and truffle wrapped inside corn tortillas, baked with a three cheese blend parmesan, Jack and Queso Fresco!! I mean OMG!~~ Just look at that cheese! This vegetarian enchilada saved my Friday evening! Cheese so rich with strong truffle scent, yet very well balanced by some mints on top. Fantastic!
Far and away the best Mexican in Honk Kong. The table side guacamole was unlike any I'd ever tasted, and the fish tacos were Ensenada fresh. The cocktails were really imaginative, and we tried A Song of Ice and Fire, Tequila Makes My Clothes Come Off, and The Green New Deal.
