Walking pass Shelly Street with my friend, we caught sight of Kinship’s brunch menu and decided to give it a try. The weekend brunch menu was quite big, and since we wanted to do a bit of coffee shop hopping afterwards, we ordered two a la carte items to share.First one was this Corned Beef Hash with egg in the frame and caramelized long chilli. It was absolutely fantastic! The potato wedges were nicely fried and tasted like hash brown for real. Love it! The open toast itself was very delicious! There were two sunny side ups on top, as well as one egg (or two?) hidden inside the bread! Amazing! The corned been and caramelized long chilli made superb toppings. Very delicious indeed!The second one we got was this BBQ Pork Bennu with beurre noisette hollandaise and rocket salad. The soft boiled eggs were so yummy with hollandaise, which added moisture and taste to the sourdough. The two pieces of BBQ pork underneath the eggs were nicely roasted and nicely flavored, really enjoyable indeed! Make sure you move the pork to the side, so that the sourdough can soak up the tasty egg yolk!There was nothing we didn’t like about the whole menu, and the price was quite reasonable indeed! Definitely coming back for a nice brunch.

An early dinner at 6:00pm, the first customers, feeling a bit too quiet and cool, would be nicer with a bigger warmer friendlier welcome. Started with the Chef Gin Tonic, looks impressive, but I should have an additional shot of Gin, the taste was more like a mocktail. Shared 2 starters, Burnt Onion Risotto is delicious, a simple dish but just love the taste, 1/2 portion is more than enough for 2 persons to share. For the Charred Octopus, just full of different flavours, something to enjoy. For the main dishes, the lamb and fresh water prawn, good presentation. Taste great. Just the lamb rump a bit chewy, perhaps too much fibre, not a good cut... A side of mashed potato with a bit of meat stew and gravy, much more delicious. Another side of fries, love the sprinkled BBQ spices, just not crispy enough, better if double fried or even triple fried. Too full and no room for dessert. The waitress and waiter were just ok, just did the job, not much interaction. Waited a long time with my emptied glass of gin tonic, no offer, then I made my move and asked for another glass of wine, thought it’s the alcohol that makes money, be smart and don’t let emptied glass sitting there for too long. I could have had a few more glasses. You missed the chance. Thank you Chris( the chef), coming over and said hello. Good overall and will be back.

A lovely lunch on Labour Day 🎉🎊🎉🎊 Tried this “new” restaurant for the lunch menu ... 3course at HKD288 + 10% serving with coffee / tea in Central = definitely good price indeed! The starters are really amazing with lovely presentation .... steak tartare and scallops 😋😋😋 yuMMM ... soooo refreshing for the steak tartare and the sauce is really cool!Some people may not like it as it appears a bit raw but I truly like it esp with the egg on top! Yooo... the scallops are lovely as well! For the main picked salmon and Okinawa pork belly 😋😋😋 Delicious!!Comparing with the starters, the appearance not that appealing but they are still good! 🤣🤣🤣 the pork belly looks a bit like Chinese cuisine .... Hahahaha Desserts are lovely as well 🍫🍰🍨🍦 milk chocolate cheesecake and icecream ... hahaha .... the icecream is like sorbet or I should say it’s more like 沙冰 somehow ... is in “frozen” mode ....😅😅😅right after having sth cold = so great to have Cappuccino and Latte in hot☕️☕️☕️Overall . A lovely dining experience with sincere service! Will go again for brunch as I really wanna try the brunch menu in EGGs! I am such an egg lover!
