There is nothing gourmet about GBU. If it were called greasy morsel association it would be much more accurate. We had the Old School Burger and fries and felt very hard done by. First of all, the place was a mess. There were boxes of buns and shirts and all sorts of rubbish cluttering the tiny little place. The floor had not been cleaned and was covered in food detritus. We had a groupon for two old school burgers and fries and a soft drink. We opted for sparkling water as a drink and it turned out to be the best thing we had. After about ten minutes our burgers came out. They were very sorry indeed. There was a tiny, thin, overcooked disk of meat that was filled with gristle. Under this was a slice of onion that was at least double the thickness of the patty. The lettuce was double the thickness of the onion and patty combined bad ratios. The sesame bun was fine but who eats a burger just for the bun. Basically, the patty was totally lost in the sandwich, but really that turned out to be a good thing, as it was an awful patty. The fries came out after another five minutes. They were fine. Greasy and strangely yellow, they were the kind of thing you got from a school cafeteria in England in the 1980s. As we left, we noticed that the toilet was filthy and that the boxes of buns were stacked up next to it. Also, looking over the counter, we saw that the uncooked patties were on a tray under the grill amid more filth. They were brown at the edges from being left out in the open without cling film covering them and from not being refrigerated. It wade me feel a little sick and worried about what I had just put in my body.Add this list of offences to bored and irritated service and you have a recipe for a total restaurant failiure.

Hubby bought the "GBU Old Skools Burger/Chicken Teriyaki Burger Combo" with a discount on groupon (priced at $108 orginally; I'm not sure how much he actually paid but it was listed as $48 on the site)The burger was really disappointingThe beef patty was kinda thin, and very dry and overcooked. They put too much tomato sauce in the burger as well.The fries were OK, though the staff was a little heavy handed on the salt.
Bought a group buying deal just last Friday and decided to try this place as I have a craving for burgers recently.Walked in at 12:30pm and there was no one there. Even the staff were hiding behind the counters and I have to shout "hello" a few times to get their attention. But the staff in front of the cashier who heard me choose to ignore me and the one further away came to me (this is quite a strange arrangement).Showed my coupon and the staff told me they have no fries so it's onion rings intead, and then let me to choose a drink. And then I sat myself at one of the stools. More customers came in later which is comforting. I waited for about 1520 mins for the meal cuz the food was made from order I guess.Burger: The bun was lightly toasted and the sesame on top slightly burned. Looks alright. The beef patty was a bit dry but at least it's well cooked and not pink. But I am no big fan of the lettuce and red onions. They were very cold (straight out from the fridge) and tasted weird with the hot meat and bun. And then the ketchup...I think they have put at least 2 tablespoon of COLD ketchup in too much even for fries. I had to use my utensils to get rid of the ketchup to finish it off.Onion rings: freshly fried. Nothing special though.I think this is good as a try. But I won't use another coupon to come back. Maybe someone else would think differently.
中環食乜都貴, 見到做$48優惠團購券,就買左一張試下食評:好老實講, 我之前食過呢間餐廳,(都係COUPON)雖然D人手腳慢,但漢堡香, 著條熱,絕對值得再買但今次…先講牛肉漢堡, 洋蔥、生菜唔係一條條係一大塊放係裡面,牛又冇牛肉味,所以你食到既味道會係一口洋蔥, 一口生菜著條, 係粗薯但唔熱, 微溫, 淋晒, 鹽又唔均衡,仲要好少,M記都好食過佢

正研究細節時手快快click咗購買一張優惠券，無所謂啦，反正應該抵食!誰知去到換購時，職員話只可選牛肉或雞肉，其他自選配料欠奉，牆上menu所謂「Build Your Own Burger」的Step 1,2,3,4全不適用，因為是團購特別套餐! 心中納悶，唔通又中招？不過都期望有gourmet burger 水準。
等了片刻，牛肉burger連薯條及汽水送上。
一見到個麭就食慾大減，個麭表面皺晒皮又委縮，最慘係裏面無問我就同我落埋茄汁，我最憎，一Pat嘢咁，混合凍生菜及蕃茄，感覺很不好!連落唔落茄汁都無得自選，粗製濫造之作！咬了幾口，牛肉很羶兼無肉香，而且啲笳汁已搞到個麭發晒水，見到都唔開胃！食了一半算了！惟一可取算是即炸薯條夠熱及罐裝汽水夠凍。
個套餐話48蚊都算了，如說是團購優惠原價值$108就言過其實。
另外店內的雜亂環境使人不願久留。
