Duo is one of the most underrated restaurants in Hong Kong, probably because of their location (a bit out of the way a bit past m1nt and press room).This has been a huge plus for me as I have been going here since they opened, and have never had trouble getting a table!Bread: I Love their olive paste!!Their bread always comes with a delicious olive paste (complimentary, of course).This stuff is actually not cheap to buy.. Appetizers: My favorites are the pumpkin with chorizzo, the baba ghanoush, and the hummus.Main: Best Pasta and Risotto I have had in my 4yrs in hong kong.My favorite is the arabiata (penne with tomato and olive.. a bit spicy) and the pesto (I always replace the couscous with linguine).Most restaurants in HK do not serve al dente pasta (even the restaurant called al dente!!) but this place gets it right.Their risottos are also delicious but a bit heavy.One thing to note:They have small portions and large portions for around double the price of small.... you are much better off trying 2 differen small dishes rather than getting the large.... They also have a veriety of meaty choices.My boyfriend is a fan, but I prefer the pasta/risottos.Dessert:I have tried the strawberry melba, chocolate cake, chocolate pannacotta and tiramisu (listed in order of what I liked best).Strawberry melba is my favorite. Milk flavor ice cream with strawberry sauce and a layer of cookie crumbs at the bottom, topped whipped cream.yum!!Weekend Brunch: They have weekend brunch sets.Good deal if you can eat a lot, but if you are not a big eater, a la carte will be a cheaper choice.I love the salad that comes with the set.You get to make your own our of high quality ingredients. Weekday lunch: Think they have some lunch deals that are pretty good value, but have never made it there since it's a bit far from work..Service: Owner and staff are very friendly.Attentive when you need them, but not in your face.They are not used to having a full house so service can be a little slow when they are packed... cons: you get a bit of noise from the street, particularly when busses go by.They have semioutdoor seeting which would be perfect if it weren't for the traffic.If you don't like noise and car fumes, get a seet inside. Tip: if you have fries there, make sure you ask for their homemade garlic mayonaise... it is exquisite!!

Sunday Brunch, 4 of us and was planning to go Press Romm, but it's fully booked, and we got this chance to try this DUO Restaurant, our first time.Middle East cuisine, waitresses are friendly but their accent is really hard to understand. Anyway, it's a cool place located on Hollyroad, nice interior design with a lot of interesting stuff on shelves and photographs of Western kids, very cute. Seating is rather squeezed, especially when it's fully house.Okay, the MENU. There are basically 2 types of brunches1. $180 standard one with Salad Bar + soft drink / juice + 1 main course (selection of different types of omelette / scrambled eggs / others like pasta, meat) + coffee / tea2. $280 Duo Brunch that you can pick 5 items from Appetizers (selection of different types of Salad) + Eggs (omelette / scrambled eggs) + Mains (Pasta / Meat)Or, pay extra for free flow of alcoholic drinks, around $400.My 3 others friends pciked the standard one, and me, for sure, loved to try everything and share my comments with YOU!I picked1. Salad called Baba Ghanoush (Arab dish), It's actually a pancake with honey, plus slices of carrot, cucumber and eggplants. Yummy! this is my first time eating this dish.2. DUO Scrambled Eggs, disappointed. The eggs are overcooked, the toast is burnt...maybe it's their way of cooking but it's really too burnt, look like charcoal3. Steak tartar, surprisingly good, the beef is fresh and finely chopped, can feel the Chef's heart to make it nice.4. Risotto is good as well, but I was already full...5. Dessert is chocolate cake, it looks cute but the sauce is rather too much...it looks like swimming in the plate.Look at my friends Scrambled Eggs with Steak....OMG, everything is overcooked, not only the eggs and steak, but the fries, burnt like charcoal....but Salad bar is nice, all items are freshFor Duo brunch menu (Over $300), drink is NOT included; while the Cheaper set ($180), both juice and coffee/tea are included. So Weird....Again, it's mean. For a set menu costs over $300 and not even include a drink....and need to order a la carte. I don't think people would like to have this set of 45 courses without drinking anything....doesn't make sense...It will be great if they can include a glass of juice or coffee, which I don't think they will suffer from bankcruptcy by just doing this a little more.Overall, Cold dishes (Salad, tartar) are GOOD, and Hot dishes (eggs, steak, fries) are BAD.

落狗屎果日先黎呢度食飯，都全場爆喎，估唔到。

本來以為食中東菜，重諗住讚環境以中東菜館黎講真係靚到絕，點知打開餐牌就知搞錯，又有豆泥又有漢堡重有意粉尾水重有煎鵝肝﹗原來地中海餐廳係咁解~唔講食物，服務真係有改善空間，真正做到水要叫，侍應要截既境界，即使以中環餐廳黎講都唔接受。

食物其實又唔錯喎，比普通中東菜館黎得清新，唔會好滯，叫左個頭盤併盤，都係豆泥之類既中東菜，幾惹味，意粉夠煙身，雖然醬汁一般，主菜就叫左三文治同魚，都唔錯。

其實樣樣都係唔錯唔錯咁，無一樣特別出色，亦無一樣特別想反檯鬧人。

都叫幫襯得過。

Today me and my friend (a stupid one) went to Duo without any plan. Seven days before Valentine's Day, it was raining since the early morning........ i guess (bcoz I got up at 12:45pm).My wet jeans caused by the rain was not tolerable making me jumped into the nearest restaurant. "Duo" ............. "the deco is not bad" I was talking to myself about the 1st impression of this Spanish cuisine. The breakie, a brunch actually, was delicious. I ordered a "Duo burger" while my friend consulting me about his preference on the "Salad Bowl", I answered "Yes, go ahead if you want to.". "I hate salad bar espically in the morning, and this is a idiocy choice" my heart was speaking. However, surprise came when the fodd came. Each of the ingredient was fresh in the salad bar includng the penne was still warm, the disappointment about the salad was that my stupid friend only grap a few pieces of the penne which was not enougth for my stomach . We can taste the freshness of the burger with tender mince Ausie beef (who can prove if it is an Ausie one, haha).In conculsion, the most impressive thing was the wash room. The deco is event better than the 1st class lounge in the airport, and most important there was clean and no smell at all.Good Day!!!
