Beautiful spread of food however we experienced a major staffing issue & i am sure this was from a Manager which gives little hope for future staffing. A older dark long haired French lady served us. We popped in to buy some good quality bread as we were having a dinner party that evening. I picked out the bread myself & then waited while they had issues with the till/scale. The extremely dry & cold shop lady then told me the bread was $100. In return i asked her why the bread was at such a premium price. The response i got with a huge amount of attitude was "it is French". Since i was standing in a French store i feel this was pretty obvious. When a customer asks you about a product that you are selling you should really be able to give them some details. The offensive server/shift manager then said "if you cannot afford the bread you don't have to buy the bread" I do not feel it is a servers place to enquire on financial stability based on the purchasing of a piece of bread. Simply explaining to me the ingredients, where they come from, how the bread is made etc etc. At no time was i changing my mind on my purchase, i would have paid 10 times the price to try this bread. So, in summary please get new staff / managment, MANNERS & product knowledge!I am still in shock to see that you guys actually have 4.5 stars on google & Openrice. I have zero idea how you managed that but i feel this is false information for any customers wishing to pay you a visit. I am guessing the only reason is that you may stock a lot of products that the huge French expat community miss from home.

I visited B.A.M this weekend to pick up a selection of cheeses and some fresh baguettes for a dinner party (both of which are so hard to find in Hong Kong!) The staff were very friendly and polite and super helpful in putting together a selection of cheeses for my guests (even advising on pregnant friendly cheeses). It was extremely difficult not to get carried away buying some of the cold meats, pickles, foie gras, wine and various other deli items on offer, but I had to save something for next time I visit!

The waitress was actually Middle Eastern so it was stereotypical (?) Middle Eastern rudeness, and both she and the "chef" are no longer there. B.A.M. and Stan Cafe are under common ownership. Stan Cafe is excellent and all of the quiches etc. at B.A.M. are prepared at Stan Cafe. The owner has personally assured me, Bison Burger, that B.A.M. is now back on track with better help (i.e., the morons all left), so while I don't doubt that everything Porky Pie boy writes is factually correct, his review is already as out of date as pork pies (but were they ever in style?).

詎料是個加大碼的漢堡！包已經巨型，再配以厚牛漢堡扒，真是big is beautiful！烘香的包上灑有黑白芝麻，香上加香；牛肉勁多汁、藍芝士帶出獨特的香氣，再加上車厘茄、蕃茄、芝麻菜、紅洋蔥及磨菇，不管食味或口感都屬一流。

飽到噴包，差點連薯角也吃不下……

Went to B.A.M. for fondue and raclette with work colleagues my worst dining experience ever in Hong Kong. First, the very rude and incompetent waitress gave one of the people in my party a dirty plate and then denied it was dirty even when the person pointed to the food stuck to side of the plate. She said it was just water. Same waitress also didn't want to hear that one of the raclette grills wasn't heating as fast as the others. Kept arguing with one of the women in my group that nothing was wrong with the grill and told her "You need to give it some time, lady." The supposed "chef" was also incapable of making a fondue. Forgot to put wine in the cheese pot and so we were left with a cold, sticky, cheesy mess that refused to melt. To top things off, when we asked the waitress why they forgot to put something as basic as wine in the fondue, she said with stereotypical French rudeness "I am not the cook." This restaurant has no business being open. No one needs a place like this in Hong Kong.
