Causeway Bay now has their own Food Republic, the food court found in several shopping malls around Hong Kong. So, on this day, I decided to try BBim Monster.BBim Monster serves Korean food in food court style. The difference is that they serve bibimap that you can choose what toppings you want and they'll add it on for you. They also serve kimbap.I decided to get a kimbap set that included a bowl of soup, one kimbap, a Korean dessert and choice of side (fish cake, fried chicken) for $55. I had expected the kimbap to be premade as it was a food court, but to my great surprise, it was made to order!The kimbap was pretty good. The nori was still crunchy. The vegetables were still crisp. The rice was a nice chewy consistency. This was a pretty good roll! And again I say ... made to order!Soup was typical Korean pepper soup. I'm not a big fan of Korean pepper soup. It just tasted like pepper.I chose fried chicken as my side. The chicken was actually not dry but it also was cold as it was premade. But then I shouldn't have hight hopes for food court Korean fried chicken.The Korean dessert was a cold tofu with azuki bean. It was actually pretty good. Tofu tasted like tofu and azuki bean wasn't too sweet.There were a few good items and a few not too good items. But as it was a food court, I'm impressed. I'll return and try other items next time.
