Finally a pizza place in Sai Kung that pushes out good thincrust pizza. What a shame about their location. I am sure that the outofsight location will adversely affect their business unless wordofmouth helps to steer customers their way.This restaurant opened quietly a couple of months ago, and I have dined there once and had take away a couple of times. Not a great deal of ambience and the staff are polite, but barely friendly but it is the pizza that stars here.Pizzas are thin and flexible, crisp on the outside and chewy inside. Bubbles on top and small leopard spots under. They appear to have been cooked in a hightemperature oven so that the end result is as close to a Neapolitan pizza as you can get in these parts. The pizza bases are produced at the restaurant, none of those massproduced biscuit bases that you find in so many classier restaurants.They have a wide variety of "traditional" toppings using surprisingly good ingredients. There are also a couple of more pedestrian pizzas a ham and pineapple, and a chicken tandoori.My favourites? They do pizza bianca that is, without using a tomato sauce base.The bianca al parma is awesome, fresh rocket on top of parma ham and cheese. Crisp and creamy, not too heavy.They also do pasta dishes. We have tried the penne al carbonara and it is very rich with cheese and egg yolk. We have not tried the other menu items that include salads, soups, starters and main dishes. There is a sprinkling of Indian dishes on the menu, not surprising given that the staff are south Asian.This is a breath of fresh air in a locality where heavy, oily, bready pizzas prevail. There is another pizza restaurant that opened recently in Sai Kung (in a much better location) that gets a lot of positive publicity, but personally I think their pizzas are too thick and bready, and undercooked.
