Paid enough visits to make the captioned statement.I remember after the first visit, Pig n I left with happy faces.Still remember the beef fillet salad BACK THEN was superb nice portions with intense flavors.Revisit experiences were ok, yet as mentioned in some other reviews their service was never quite up to scratch.We never got the "royal treament", therefore we let it pass.Afterall a nice place with pleasant food and drinks, I seriously don't need too much of any servicing just give us the dough and leave us alone.Yet the experience last night smashed my tolerance.Totally.I do not intend to waste too much time on fueling my anger, so I'll just summarize: The two Chinese waitresses continued their blackface stance to Chinese customers and I observed that they are starting to do it to foreigners too Conversation (during ordering) was stone cold when you ask for clarification they show their annoyance on their faces esp the ladyinchargelookalike waitress lurking behind As read from other reviews people were lucky enough to get tap water.We ordered drinks and asked for glasses of warm water on side the waitress turned down the request stating they serve ONLY bottled water Ordered my favourite beef fillet salad, only to find that the portions have shrunk drastically Flavors continued to be ok, yet while I was enjoying my food the waitress came to the table THREE TIMES asking whether we were finished I mean, what's the rush GDI??? Don't even bother to ask for the balcony seats as they are "reserved" anyway yet you would see walkin foreigners taking them Price fair enough, considering the ambienceNo to mention no check backs, no greetings, the proforeigner stance...I guess we can call ourselves lucky without needing to take the shxts from the chef.A nice place COMPLETELY RUINED because of poor service.Basically I recommend a NO for anyone considering the restaurant unless you are ready to maintain an even blacker face than the people there.Otherwise, the several drink places next to it would just do fine.

全店只得2位中國藉waitress,一入去的時候她們已經面黑黑,由遞menu至落order時從未正眼望過我們。

想問她們取food menu看吓,第一句便回答:「無喎!」,我們好愕然,再問之下她們才說:「無啦,廚房收咗囉喎」!態度極之惡劣,見我們飲完問也不問便放張單係我們檯面叫我們埋單,即係趕我們走啦。

整晚從未見兩位waitress對中國人有笑容,反觀對著外國人便有講有笑,簡直係中國人的恥辱!

二月三十‧微雨 約了朋友飲酒,來了他工作附近找他。

上次來吃Zig Zag時已發現這邊開了幾間新酒吧,就趁是次來試一間。

三間之中,唯獨是這裡沒有生啤供應,但卻選了這裡,因為想吃點東西,而門外的牌子列上的tapas,好像幾吸引的。

朋友想吸煙,坐在外邊會好一點,店方拿了一棵樹做檯,幾特別的。

沒有生啤,唯有要樽啤,就來Hoegaarden。

啤酒來的時候夠凍,喝多幾口已經回暖,泡沫也弱弱的,還是喜歡生啤多好多。

也要來點吃的,就要了個烤芝士大蘑菇。

烤出來香噴噴的,用上了藍芝士,其獨特的味道喝蘑菇又很配合,美味。

旁邊的沙律菜,是火箭菜加上串茄,還有藍芝士碎,同樣美味。

價錢方面,128蚊一客,好像是收得貴了一點。

服務不錯,侍應很有禮貌的。

埋單每人一百多,酒不貴,食物不便宜吧了。

We were there with a group of friends (8 of us) for postdinner drinks.We were seated immediately as there was only 1 table.We started with ordering 2 bottles of wine and once the wine arrived the bill was also presented to us immediately.It was pretty surprising but nonetheless we paid the bill.It cost HK$800 for 2 bottles of wine.Subsequently we order 2 tapas (like grilled prawns and fried cuttlefish balls).The food arrived and we found that the prawns were not cooked.When we informed the waitress the chef came out and told us, "Please tell us which prawns are not cooked and I will recook those prawns" (in cantonese).Can you imagine serving uncooked food and not even a single word of apology.This was bad and we told them we would cancel the order.In almost the same instance and breath, the chef murmered loudly in front of us (cursing us in cantonese).We were prepared to let it pass and he repeated it when he came out of the kitchen.That was really absolutely uncalled for and we decided that we would leave the place.For those of you thinking of going to Davis, have a think again.I have never seen such bad service standards in Hong Kong and reading another review on this place on openrice, it looks that the restaurant is in a habit of serving uncooked food.

Jump to "food #2" below if u're thinking to pass the reading.That day I was having light dinner with my sister in the area as we weren't that hungry.She suggested this tapas bar cos she had (quite a few) drinks with friends the other night with a few tapas and the bill was just around $500.So I gave it a go.It was Saturday almost 9pm.We got the window seat with nice view of the ocean.The street was quiet and the restaurant was about 2 feet above ground.It was a nice separation away from the street.So we sat down and all 2 waitresses came, put down the menu and waiting for our orders.My sister asked for tapas menu, then both of them went to the door and moved that heavy chalk board to us.It was a list of dishes, and at the bottom it read roughly "$49$159".Then sister asked "Are the dishes listed the cheapest first or...?"And the black hair one replied "No, they aren't in any particular order."We didnt care and ordered **Grilled mushroom with blue cheese and sausage** and **jumbo beef burger**, not really tapasish, but whatever, and 2 glasses of water, cos we were 1 minute past the happy hour. food #1 They gave us 2 glasses of tap water, and after a while the mushroom came.It was a big brown mushroom with minced pork and blue cheese served with a leafy salad with halved cherry tomato and sliced capsicums.It was nice with the strong blue cheese smell and the meat had a little hint of sweetness.Salad was good too.When we finished the mushroom, the black hair waitress collected the plate and my glass.We asked the other waitress for water.She replied "Sorry we don't offer tap water.Would you like sparkling or still?"Oh well, we passed. food #2 A while later the burger was brought to our table.It was open with burger on half of the bun and some greens, bacon, onion and stuff on the other.On the side came with chips and a pickled shredded cabbage.They only gave us ground white pepper when we asked so we skipped it.The chips were piping hot.But the medium done burger was not.It was chewy, way too chewy and when we looked closely, it was slightly flesh pink in centre and the tendons were visibly white.There should never be uncooked tendon in any burgers.So we sent it back to the kitchen.The long and dyed hair waitress asked if we would liek to order something else, so I picked lamb chop.2 minutes later, she returned with the bill and said "Sorry but I'm afraid our food can't satisfy you." (in cantonese "我地怕煮左出嚟唔啱你食") **Note: with the bill.**That's just an indirect way to say "We don't welcome you here anymore.Please pay and leave."Gosh!I was getting hungry and they wanted us out!So we paid $120 for 1 mushroom and greens and headed to Zig Zag, it's neighbour.(oh, that time $500+ was for 4 drinks at happy hour and 2 dishes of tapas for 2 people.)
