Two things I learnt today!!Fact 1: The foam box doesn’t melt in the microwave.I ordered an Iskender, and basically the guy put the ingredients in the white foam box and shoved it in the microwave.I thought it was going to melt but it didnt!!Fact 2: The Iskender is so simple to make, the ingredients are readily available from the supermarket!! 2 Slices of breadNestle original yoghurtTomato pureeChicken!!!!!All the guy did was diced the bread, placed it in the foam box, put some chicken on top, then tomato puree, and then the yoghurt and heated it through the microwave!!! :0HEY PRESTO! ISKENDER is so easy to make!!Also quite amusing, was given chopsticks and chinese plastic spoon by the turkish joint!!!

今天返10:30am, 返工前已經去了麥當勞食了個hot cake早餐, 所以都不是太肚餓,我沿著謝斐道去覓食, 也不想食茶餐廳及燒味, 不久經過了一間烤肉的食店, 門口也掛了個the rolls的餐牌,從來我都不會食羊肉, 只好試下轉轉燒雞肉卷, 這間老板是土耳其人,他的英文講得不錯, 他叫ALEX都好nice,笑容可嘉,得他熱誠款待我好開心, 他也介紹我食這店招牌菜beef kofte roll, 但最後我都是選擇了食chicken doner roll可以有一杯soft drink , tea or coffee , 我點了一杯凍檸檬茶,這間店子不是好大,店內也放置了一些外國的掛畫,更有些是土耳其的書籍&圖片, 充滿民俗風情, 這裡得幾個座位, 不過這店最特別的是有個open kitchen 可以看到Alex 幫我們做食物, kitchen 有兩個轉轉機, 一個放了雞肉, 另一個是羊肉, 旁邊是一個炸爐&幫麵包製熱的機器, 真是大開眼界座位是high chair,桌上更放了一些調味料, 除salt &pepper, 還有一些較特別的dressings, 在邊是mint dressing, 中間放了的是garlic dressing, 橙色的是有辣椒的chilli dressing,食土耳其style的roll再落些調味料更美味The chicken doner roll 終於做好了, 用了鍚紙包住, 內裡有洋蔥, 蓄茄,生菜&切薄的雞肉, 雞肉都好香濃嫩滑, 蔬菜方面都好新鮮, 不過我就不是太喜歡食生洋蔥, 如果炒熟了這些洋蔥會更香口, 內裡更有些mint dressing , pita bread帶點微暖, 咬落非常香脆, 份量十足除了rolls, 店內更有提供greek salad , soup of the day, chips, 青瓜粒乳酪....等等, 款式不會只是賣rolls, 更可以take away, 食物方面都做得不錯, lunch的選擇又多一個了
因為附近有好多食肆, 所以這沒甚麼人.但我是kebab maniac那天去找小豬兒買了這個給自己.雞肉roll, 配以汽水只售$35外表脆, 雞肉乾乾的沒甚麼不好, 人們常說kebab的肉乾, 其實烤得久, 乾是必然.然而香氣十足, 份量也十足, 多得漏了出來, 正式'走雞'老闆相信為土耳其人, 好客, 笑容十足.本人問及他, 店內圖片為何處, 他則笑答: Istanbul店內圖片亦顯示土耳其風光明媚.
Shared lamb roll & chicken roll with colleague.the meat is wellseasoned, wrapped together with fresh vegi in baked bread. good!bonus: the shopowner treated us choco !好味中東包卷! 肉味香濃, 蔬菜新鮮, 烤包烘得熱鬆. $35 有埋drink. 底食!
