貝澳沙灘係第一次踏足， 落巴士再行大概行15分鐘左右穿過小樹林就到貝澳沙灘。

就見呢間餐廳，內部設計很特別，令人有去到泰國渡假既感覺，還有DJ在場打碟餐廳，而餐會前面就是沙灘非常方便，玩玩沙游游水再來享受一下。

食物方面很有水準，點了沙律跟漢堡也很好吃，沙律擺盤很美，漢堡也是一點都不馬虎！ 這樣我就在這裡待了一整天！

今次山長水遠坐車又坐船去到貝澳,為的不是摸蜆, 而是去尋找下遠離繁囂的下午。

Mavericks 位於貝澳沙灘, 一入餐廳, 感覺真的不一樣: 是香港嗎? 懶洋洋的沖浪人, 休閒地睇書人, 周圍以木嘅裝飾, 大量海灘相, 沖浪相, 滑板相, 有一剎那間真的覺自己在渡假了! 迎面的海風沒有間斷地吹入來, 超舒服, 把嚴嚴夏日悶焗的心情一掃而空。

沒有吃午飯的我們已經咕咕叫, 我點了個炸雞burger 加薯條. 配上杯gunner.炸雞burger 不會太多炸粉,肉身十分結實, 相信餐廳用了美國的雞胸黎炸, burger 用的麵包係特別桿的, 唔似一般的普通麵包。

重點係薯條, 佢炸兩次的效果比普遍的薯條更加香口; 炸的時候同pepper 落去炸, 唔使再點茄已經好好味~ gunner 就沒有什麼特別, 只不過在眼前海景下吃上這隸的美食真係涼透心呀~感覺真的似去了渡假一樣!下次黎貝澳的朋友一定要試試呢間充滿渡假氣息的餐廳, 當俾自己take 個小小的break 吧!

It's not often that we venture out of HK island, so we made the most our of day excursion after hiking Sunset Peak (and avoiding the Occupy crowd) on our National holiday. We were pleasantly surprised to find the bar/restaurant in the prime spot on Pui O beach with a fantastic view of the surf action while chilling out on the open deck. The staff had a disproportionate number of teenagers (I hope not underaged workers) who were helping out with the service which is a great idea to get kids involed and also instil a sense of responsibility (and also what a buck is worth).We were tempted by many items on the menu but finally decided on wonton nachos with chicken to share, a Kahuna burger with brioche from the local village baker, and a humungous Cobb salad that boasted a large and perfectly grilled piece of chicken breast, 2 slices of scrummy back bacon, and plenty of locally sourced fresh vegetables. Every bite tasted better than anticipated, probably because your higher coryical function is telling you that this restaurant is a local enterprise with a big social conscience, all the food are sustainably sourced, and the renovation and decor down to the menu boards recycled from old skateboards screams of sustainability and community cohesiveness. The young master beer was tempting, but for a hot summer's day we couldn't get past a cider to cool off after a 3hour hike. And the buffalo agreed. 

After my husband and his colleague came from a hike they decided to go here to have a drink and snacks. I joined a while later. We were told to clear our table by 4pm as there was a reservation. We have spent about 1400HKD on drinks and snacks so not bad for a beach bar right? When the time came to clear the table my husband asked politely if maybe we could sit somewhere else in the bar (because we were only 3). At that time the proprietor (who's French) started yelling at my husband and throwing insults at him. "Pay your bill and leave I don't want to see you here again. You just don't know how to take no for an answer". It kept on going for a while and when my husband said that it was just a question he started cursing and swearing in French even telling my husband that they could "take it out to the beach and fight over it if he wanted to''. The tables all around us were perplex by this guy's behaviour (he has to run the bar for god's sake). When our bill came the waitress even apologized for it. 2 tables around us immediately asked for their bill because they were so disgusted.We will never set foot in this place again! Or maybe we would, once the owners kick out this incompetent idiot.
