平时很少跑到中半山活动，今天要在附近办事，无意中路过这里，先跑进去喝一杯咖啡提神。街道上人流量不多，店内的客人自然也很少，入座率不是百分之五十。玻璃柜内的烘焙产品不多，也看不到有新东西，随便点了一个原味牛角包。店员先将牛角包加热，拿到时闻到很香的牛油味。面包的外皮有点㶶，但还是鬆脆的，味道不错。只是包内不够软，咬下去有点实，口感一般。另外今天的 Coffee of the Day 有点淡，咖啡味不浓，普普通通的，没有很大惊喜。

雞肉凱撒沙律 Chicken Caesar Salad ($42)先看看相片裡的成份就知有什麼材料啦~ 盒沙律睇落好大盒，但其實份量唔算多，略嫌貴了點；打開只有數片雞肉，算幾嫩滑；車厘茄得２粒，雜菜都幾新鮮，尤其羽衣甘藍最好食，最慘係麵包粒腍哂又冇味！蜂蜜脆糖朱古力咖啡星冰樂 Honeycomb Crunch Mocha Frappuccino® blended beverage (G$44)朱古力味濃好甜冇哂咖啡味，頂層有粒粒蜂蜜脆脆，真係幾脆仲好甜添，飲完好膩！咖喱牛肉酥 Crisp beef curry ($20)似一個放大版咖哩角，中間圓弧形漲起包住咖喱牛肉，咖喱味唔錯，牛肉都唔太乾，酥皮翻烘後算鬆脆。
麥香多士 Wheat Toast ($11)Toast附牛油和果占，我冇要牛油就比返店員，照睇Starbucks只有提供士多啤梨果占，都幾甜；多士雖叫麥香，不過都唔太有麥味，呢件一般哩~雙重芝士火腿三文治 Gourmet Ham & Double Cheese Toastie ($32)食得多用白麵包嘅芝士火腿脆多，今次呢個用麥包的確比白麵包好食，切片火腿層層疊夾在包裡口感更豐富，芝士都好食，雖然價格較貴，不過質素都算幾好。
Starbucks serves the same food and drink at every branch, but to me it is just a place to kill time.This time I dined at the Caine Road branch, with IPC Foodlab and Eric Kayser opposite.It was lovely and relaxing at this branch.I tried the garden spinach muffin which was a savoury muffin with young green spinach, broccolis, green beans and cheese.The muffin was green because of the spinach.I loved the taste of this muffin because it was truly savoury and cheesy with a peppery kick to it.It was heated as well which brought out the lovely cheesy aroma.
The SettingNews had reached me that Starbucks would donate all (as in, every single dollar) proceeds from sales between 3pm~5pm on Friday to Japan via World Vision.How could I, being so close to Japan not do my part and help?I couldn't, and neither could all the folks from my office.So off I went at 3:20.I expected a line, but nothing like this.I ended up waiting for 40 minutes to get to the counter.It was drizzling and cold outside, yet all these people were lining up, waiting to donate their money for a good cause.It was really a great sight to see.Once inside, I was once again greeted with a huge crowd, patiently waiting for their drinks.While I was waiting for my nine drinks (always for for their short espressobased drinks; the flavour's better and stronger) I saw a lot of people making multidrink orders.Some orders were into the thousands of dollars, which again is a heartwarming thing to see.This post is less of a food review and more of a supportive shoutout to Starbucks and Maxim/Coffee Concepts for doing the right thing and using their brand to get the community involved.The only thing they could do better is to start recycling!
