It was another hot summer day and I was waiting for boyfriend. In need of air conditioning, I went inside Eaton Hotel's food court area. It was there that I found that Asam Chicken Rice had a tea set that only cost $38.Asam Chicken Rice has a number of branches around Hong Kong and specialize in Hainan Chicken rice. But this branch is in a food court, thus no 10% service charge. Menu is in English and Chinese.The tea set was a shredded chicken rice noodle in a chicken soup. It also came with any drink except coconut.Portion was pretty generous. Especially as it cost so cheap, I was expecting a small portion. But it wasn't. The soup was a rich strong chicken broth yet didn't feel too oily. The chicken meat was firm. I was also pleased the vegetable was water spinach. I don't think I've ever had that as the default veggie.For the drink, I decided to get a ice calamansi with dried sweet plum. The taste of the plum was pretty strong but it was still very refreshing. The tea set is a definitely a deal. Food was pretty good so I will probably try the Hainan chicken rice next time
海南雞飯普通，雞滑，但是，無雞味。
雞油飯及湯，一般。
而巴東牛肉就十分出色，香辣惹味！值得再去 encore! 而柑桔冰茶則略甜...下次，想試吓喇沙及蝦麵。
