Came here to attend a friend's wedding reception. When she told me it was located here, I was a bit surprised tio choose this place as you needed to be a resident of Leighton Hill to book anything here. Well..apparently, her husband knew someone.The area was small yet cozy. They even had a private room that is linked to the main reception area. A fairly good place for holding meetings and other private events.Service was very friendly and helpful. The food was in the form of a buffet with various stations for dessert, salad and hot food. Plates were cleared quickly the minute one person got up to get more food.The food was alright. Not spectacular but alright. Salad was fresh. The prawn served was actually the best as it was fresh and perfectly seasoned. Lamb chop was a bit too fat and over cooked. But the beef was tender and cooked to a medium rare. Notable mention was the mushrooom soup I had. It was thick with plenty of mushrooms in it.Fun evening with very friendly service. The clubhouse had a lovely view of the Happy Valley race course below as well.
