As an indian student away from home, I really miss homely food and ebenzeers is a great option on campus for Indian food.Tried out the dal makhani with rice, and the veg Biryani. The dal was really creamy and well cooked, the rice could have been a little better. The veg Biryani was a decent portion, and had a lot of accompaniments which were great.A strongly recommended place if you want to eat indian food on a budget.

I have been at HKU, and this is my favorite place to eat. The roast chicken salad is excellent, as well as the meat lovers roast chickenwhich is sort of like Canadian poutine if you get chips and not rice with it. However, don't expect much ketchup! A squirt at best. I love the sauces that they put on salads and sandwiches, especially the mint sauce. Be patient with the guy who works the front counter: he helps with food and takes orders and runs the cash register. My friends and I think he's like the Soup Nazi from Seinfeldbut, again, the food is worth the visit if you can get past that. They stop serving at 7:30 p.m., but that's not definitive. You can still get there at 7:25and NO soup for you, to borrow from Seinfeld. The food, though, is prepared quickly.

下午茶時間, 想起印度長米, 平時少地方有得食, 所以無下午茶優惠都幫襯, 羊肉炒飯, 送沙律,羊肉全瘦, 當然比較鞋, 炒完後, 無羊膻味, 炒飯用長米, 所謂Long grain rice, 老友告訴, 這種長米, 鬆散其不太黏身, 原因是澱粉含量低, 其實沒有甚麼口感, 只不過香港人少食, 所以才覺得特別, 而炒過後跟未炒其實分別不大, 因為本身都十分乾身, 而且不太入味, 沙律材料幾豐富, 有生菜, 椰菜, 蕃茄仔, 青瓜, 和青椒, 配以綠色的沙律醬汁, 味道少甜少酸, 好開胃, 跟百事一罐

The prices here are so cheap that you can get 23 dishes equal to the price of what you would pay for one dish off campus. The roast chicken salad and the chicken tikka salad are very tasty and spicy. You can choose to have mint sauce on it as well as a nice selection of other sauces available such as garlic sauce. You may also pick how spicy you want your salad to be: low, mild or really hot spicy.  The lettuce is crunchy and I found lots of cherry tomatoes in my salad as well. The chicken is marinated well the flavour is all throughout the entire chicken. The good thing about this place is that the service is super quick and the price is unbeatable for fresh veggies and delicious chicken. 

Yumyum. Good choice for the occasional lunch!HKU always very sad place, no a lot of good food. Ebeneezer's quite new, and i have not tried before, so today I go here with B. Environment = not good. Chairs are wobbly. We witnessed a fellow diner's chair collapse under the weight diner crashed to the ground, ouch ><. People behind the service desk = very laid back. Service not fast. But nevermind. Lunch sets are more expensive than everywhere else at HKU except Joseph's. Expect to spend around $3040 for lunch la if you go for a salad, but if you are like me and have very big stomach then you will spend around $60 which is what happened to me today because I order1) Green salad with chicken and (2) Falafel Kebab. Green salad with chicken $32Oh this is very yumyum! Green salad has cucumber, lettuce, cherry tomatoes. Panfried chicken was sliced very thinly hence the whole piece of meat is very crisp and flavorful. Also quite oily. But the salad is very healthy so. I recommend that you request dressing on the side because if you don't they will squeeze a lot of dressing (garlic mayo and another green mayo which is slightly spiced, but yummy) and will defeat the purpose of having salad for lunch yea. So anyway this salad is really yummy and they give you a LOT of chicken as you can see from the photo. Falafel Kebab ~$30I want more veggies for lunch so I order another vegetarian kebab (with falafel). B says I am eating too much. Give half a kebab to B. Falafel is very yummy hot, crisp on the outside, crumbly and fluffy on the inside when you fork through it, with some fragrant herbs but not too much acceptable to the Hongkie palate!There were some simple veggies accompanying the falafel. Great vegetarian snack. The wrap was just the right thickness with a bit of bite but not too thick. Chewy, and slightly grilled so you have these nice char marks on the surface. Great taste. The dressing was yummy too but I asked the server not to squirt so much.Can definitely order it again next time, but I would like to try the chicken kebab. +3 for a drink.
