通常是飯後甜品,但這天吃過甜品後才吃晚飯.由於已接近深夜,食肆都關門,選擇也只得落在茶餐廳身上.這店和華康打對枱,華康格局似翠華.但見這裏有宵夜餐等輕食,便來這邊.宵夜餐以包類和炒麵類為主,但太飽肚.最終要了常餐.常餐內的蒜蓉包難得好吃.香脆得來蒜蓉味亦濃,茶記來說很不錯.火腿奄列,蛋滑不老,火腿絲亦多炸菜肉絲湯通粉,油很多,而且炸菜很咸,一般.凍奶茶味道不錯,即使沒有少甜但也不算太甜,難得!!!店內有兩部大電視,一部播著新聞,另一部較受歡迎,因為直播傅家俊的比賽,價錢平,娛樂性亦大,可以再來幫襯.

No mistakes are to be fished out by any restaurant cynics who find their pleasure finding faults then whine with a big scene to finish with desserts...The flashing sign cold be the most flashy item here at 美的. The brightly lit joint with two overhead televisions broadcasting daily news (in the morning), and surprisingly ESPN on one of the screens. Arriving on horseracing night for my first visit, I was surprised to see that the heads were all turned towards the television as if the heads were sunflower blossoms and the television was the sun, and it wasn't even racing yet. With neat but tight seating in the space, do opt for the stools unless you are sure your raised rbcage over deep breaths will NOT touch any of the tables' edges.The menu has everything a 茶餐廳 has set meals featuring macaroni, scrambled eggs and toast, not to mention a beverage. Wokfavorites like fried rice and noodles occupied the other half of the menu. My curiosity drove me into French Toast and Milk Tea (it was 6 pm). The French Toast arrived soon enough only did I realized that a room temperature slab of butter attached stubbornly on a supposedly justfried toast. Golden indeed, the bread yielded to the knife easily. Notions of crispy outside gooey inside were forever out the window at the time of cutting, and by the time it was eaten, the idea of 'toast' was out too...It was bland and even the worst of the French toast would taste mildly eggy. This one, surprisingly, didn't taste of anything at all?! Milk tea (hot) was in no comparison with the established joints on the island, but I hadn't expected to either. Flavours were so mild I couldn't begin to comprehend on the tea. That aside, it was tepid, only tepid at all...It was neither steaming nor was it cold. If they made a mistake and serve me a chilled one I would've paid that extra for the mistake, but since it's right in the middle, I gingerly raised my cup to them, before uttering a word they seemed to just 'get it' and return the offending milk tea. The experience was bad, but looking at the extensive menu and so many people eating and drinking merrily, I was determined that it couldn't be all that bad.I was wrong.A weekend afternoon for a quick bite I was giving here a second time to wow me. The Sevens were on, as if the kitchen people were glued to the TV as well. The Milk Toast (奶油多) was simplest of all still managed to suffer from the butternotmelting problem. The butter, sadly smeared (unevenly) across the barely toasted bread, was fridge cold. But that's not it, The bread was tough and slightly chewy. Fried Rice noodles with beef (干炒牛河), a favorite of mine, was equally disastrous. The noodles were unevenly sliced, which was not a problem, but the beef was overlytenderized to soft tissues that gave way as soon as slices of it enter the mouth, and the noodles stuck in a big pile. The serving size was ok, and the only good thing about this is when the owner walked over and asked whether we would like chili oil with that. It's a shame that with 2 visits that a careful considerate remark like this one was the only remarkable thing worth complimenting.I thought I'd love this place, but turned out I didn't. It was hardly any news that sometimes one may want to like certain joints but the outcome turned out to be a lot worse than your expectations. This one, I just couldn't bring myself to like. 美的 should have absolutely no problem getting packed during lunch hours and sports/ racing fans, but for the foodies who want to have quick bites of goodies, I would suggest elsewhere...perhaps anywhere else on this very same street will offer better eats than here.

今日下午茶時段行過克街,見到個招牌勁大、個名又幾得意的「美的』,仲見到有D花籃o係門口,應該係新開張,於是同個friend入去食個下午茶。

餐牌其實同一般茶餐廳無咩分別,於是就點左最大路的蛋牛治同熱奶茶,朋友就叫雞肶同o茶。

食物上得快,味道可以,其實這些普通野最重要係新鮮,所以佢地整得快好有幫助。

加上間野新開,環境幾好,又清潔。

超出左我對一般茶餐廳的expectation,去得多翠華都悶,大家支持下這些小本經營啦

因為工作關係,已經幾次見顧美的。

第一次走進去是早餐時段。

新餐廳,當然有新裝修、新餐牌,不過還有大電視,餐具也是新的--不鏽鋼匙的背面幾乎可以用來照鏡!硬件是新的,軟件又如何?幸好不是新的。

水吧、廚房上菜速度快,經得起午飯時段的考驗。

茶餐廳,最重要就是上茶快嘛!食客、老闆兩得益。

侍應的招呼也不錯,應該不是新手。

早餐是典型的三件裝:湯麵、牛油方包+炒蛋、餐飲。

基本沒有可以劣評的地方,但不會有驚喜。

午餐那次點了楊州炒飯,夠味、飯粒乾身不太油。

平凡菜式,醫肚就算。

新張期間照單八折,感覺價錢好象時光倒流一十年。

因為早餐折後$16,午餐$24~26。
