有晚在這頭有點事要辦, 搞掂完已到了食晚飯時候... 無乜頭緒食乜住, 但無意中見到這間店幾特別,走了個大圈後還是選擇來了這.同老板嗲咗兩句, 發覺佢係個很有個性的人!何以見得?因為佢原本係海南人, 但為咗做生意, 便變相賣些比較多人接受到的泰式食品.之但係, 佢又唔舍得佢嘅海南喎! : 所以這裡賣的雞, 便給分成為唔同的兩款:1) 泰國去骨雞 用的是本地雞, 而食法是去了骨的方式. 2) 海南文昌雞 用嘅, 竟然是特別用上正宗短腳海南文昌雞種, 不是齎講但全無關係, 靜係掛個文昌雞牌就當係正宗海南雞食法的那種! 這是正宗文昌雞連骨上, 也比上面泰國版的貴 $10.我就是喜歡老板這種想 Make A Statement 的態度, 才來這裡!!****************************正宗海南粉 Despite the shop's name saying 泰式粉麵飯.... the shop owner's only Signature noodle dish is actually his home town's 正宗海南粉!!Now do you see what I was getting at?This boss deep under is trying to achieve something with his little shop, operated by his whole Hainan family, and that is trying to educate the customers on what distinguishes between Thai food vs authentic Hainanese versions! This noodles bowl is made up of Cilantro, Fried Peanuts, Pickled Veggies, Fried Garlic, Sesame, etc but the core ingredient is the meat, which is like Dried Beef Jerky, otherwise you could opt for dried pork instead!The noodles are like thickish vermicelli's (海南粉), which are slightly mushy but is the norm in many Chinese cities. I actually thought this noodles dish was very good and would come back for these!Also note that this is a wet soupy version, not the dried 撈麵 version which one can get in some shop in 深井, but both are deemed authentic.4/5 金牌海南文昌雞 Chicken: This was very disappointing, it was so dry and was way overcooked, hung on the rack for too long.It was virtually like eating cardboard chicken!Its also not served warm enough, as authentic Hainanese Chicken's from Hainan are served warmhot rather than @ room temperature(Singaporean, etc).1/5 Rice: Well I'm surprised, but this was a good rice.It had a strong Pandan like fragrance similar to that served at 海南少爺 minus the galangal influence, but here, it was actually cooked al dente!! No signs of sticky rice grains though, as is traditional Hainanese versions.Not much oily coating on this, but this rice was highly addictive anyway! 4/5 Soup:This is made with Winter Melon, but without the chicken gizzards and innards, the latter again the signature of a real Hainanese soup.Some versions use Lettuce instead of Winter Melon too, depending on season.So its hard to say who's more right.Its a good soup though 4/5 Sauce: Chili & Sour Sauce is given.But they also provide the more Cantonese style Ginger & Scallions sauce.*************************雖然聽老板說這間已開了多年, 地點也不算難找, 但反到屋企後竟然搵唔到有這間的 Openrice 記錄. 真係食完都唔知會多咗個'第一食評'...(尤其係我真係想寫嗰幾個第一食評呢, 就係 forum 一 batch 地加咗成四日都未見有 Add 咗! 為何這間加得快咁多嘅? )最搞笑嘅係當我幫得老板加這間嚟時, 你會很快又見到個'結業'寫在後面的.因為仲有兩個星期, 它周會搬去大馬路上的新舖!到時, 我又想去食個飯同海南粉都好.... 隻超難食嘅海南雞, 就唔好預我了!你老板真係...
