Boyfriend and I were in North Point, thinking of a place to have lunch when I started to rain. So, we ducked in here as it was the closest place so we didn't get wet.What we at first was cha chan teng, it wasn't. Apparently, it sold a Chiu Chow type dishes.Menu is in Chinese only. There is no English. There is no 10% service charge. Typical cha chan teng service.I ordered the lunch special of Chi Chow style soy sauce marinaded duck with rice ($35). Came with a drink so ordered an ice lemon tea (extra $3 for ice). The duck was ok. Moist and tender. Though the marinade was bit too much on the salty side and less of the other herbs and spices that usually make the marinade stand out.Unsure if I'd be back as there are probably better places in North Point for Chiu Chow as it wasn't really amazing. Just very average all around.

This is supposedly Chau Chiu style food, but the Chau Chiu specialties were not very good: the cold fish was small and not very fresh, the "lu rou" pork was tough and fatty at the same time, in other words the pork was not fresh to begin with. The chicken feet with peanuts was soggy, overcooked. The vegetable was okay, a standard Cantonese dish.The worse thing was the bill: $340. The food was barely okay as chachanting food, but at that price, it was a total fraud. There are plenty of good Chau Chiu restaurants in this city. This is not one of them.No wonder it was empty on a Friday at 6:30. We thought we were just early.
早前Wing跟朋友到炮台山見個面，吃個晚餐，其實我們心目中只是想要「食」，都沒有想過去哪裡食，又或是食甚麼，最後用「點指兵兵」的方法揀好了晚餐的落腳點~Wing的公司其實就在附近而已，低一直都沒有試過這家餐廳，所以最後選擇了它─炮台山的<多好茶餐廳>~五名女士坐下後慢慢點，待應比Wing想像中好耐性~最後點了以下幾道菜~避風塘炒辣蟹就食得多，但避風塘炒茄子倒是第一次食。
香口就是香口了，味道對「避風塘」這組詞語來說也是洽到好處的。
唯一美中不足的是茄子也太少了吧。
五位女士每人都沒有兩塊。

要是每人可以有兩塊的話，我們會開心多一點點的~苦瓜炒蛋角沒點錯了吧。
蛋炒得剛好，十分滑溜的。
苦瓜該是用鹽水先拖水吧，沒有苦味的，也算是爽口的。
跟蛋角一起吃就剛好了，口感不錯唷~Wing良久沒有吃過蠔仔粥了。
熱騰騰的泡飯，加上菇、葱花調味，十分鹹香的。
另外，粥內的蠔仔份量比Wing想像中多，一碗粥內總會有幾隻蠔仔的，份量十足，大讚唷~最後的是雞煲，雞的味道尚算可以吧，但份量卻十分一般~雖然味道不俗，但份量有待改善丫，大家吃完這幾道菜以後大概七至八成飽啦，幸好跟Wing晚飯的是女士，要是跟男士們吃就應該要最少一百幾十的了~
金銀蛋豆苗very good! 金銀蛋多, 唔會好似其他餐廳咁孤寒但係豬肉碎又太多勒...豆苗幾涼瓜斑腩煲斑腩好滑, 亦唔會多粉炒聖子好夠火候個'獻'太杰!!!!雖然惹味但漏漏哈爾濱啤酒幾正service唔錯地方頗舊
打道回府前先吃午飯, 步程較遠的心水茶記客人較多,反而這家佔地較大的茶記吉位較多 只是看看門口車仔的多餸飯,阿姐也熱情招徠,喜歡坐得C服的月巴母女也選了這家坐得較鬆動的多好。
坐下的同時,阿叔侍應已拿來熱茶兩杯,繼而即問" 要D咩??", 連一分鐘時間也不給我們考慮,好趕時間嗎叔叔???硬性子的母女倆繼續的研究餐牌,直至找到心水食品。
節瓜煲豬骨每碗也有很多骨頭, 不過完全無肉可吃,皆因早已煲得肉骨分離在湯裡去;節瓜同是煲至溶化,只餘零星小塊,總算看到是節瓜;骨頭真的多但佔空間也多,幸好湯底夠甜美濃郁, 加了陳皮及大大件生薑同煲,算是煲得有心機的中湯了。
大人的生炒牛肉飯快得離奇,還以為是炒定的但又有點鑊氣,牛肉粒粒加蔥花炒的飯,外表是OK的。
自己的貴妃雞飯需時比生炒牛肉飯還久,碟頭真的不少,雞皮黃油肥美,而且是我所喜的雞胸!! 雞肉當然雞味欠奉, 但也沒有貴妃雞應有的酒香, 跟一般白切雞無異, 名字上有點取巧耶! 雞肉味淡要靠蔥油補救, 可幸這個配套真的不錯, 蔥花及薑末以鹽稍醃再加入生油,鹹香的薑蔥配雞真好,單單用來送飯也可, 結果請阿叔再來一份! 少量有甜味的醬油味道也不錯,結果大大碟的白飯也吃光光。
灼菜心非常對眼, 菜心鮮嫩有菜甜,揀手靚菜水準,不加蠔油加了醬油, 反而沒有浪費其天然甜味, 灼得爽脆不淋, GOOD! 但不知價錢若干。
飯後來杯凍奶茶,幸得大人提醒沒改少甜,不然就真的低糖了; 紅茶味尚算夠重,熱飲定必更濃,但茶味比較單一未夠濃厚, 而且冰塊實在多了一點。
幾位上年紀阿哥侍應, 都是木口木面的,典型地道茶記態度,要求有禮服務的要考慮一下了;店內很多小飛飛,滅蚊燈不時傳來吱吱聲,氣氛更為地道。
