Mana is one of my favourite restaurants in Hong Kong. Let me preface with the fact that I, myself, am not vegan. I simply think that the quality of food at mana is much better than other restaurants. Mana used to have a small store in Central, but I’m glad they finally upgraded into this SoHo store. There is a lot more space to sit and it’s much more comfortable to sit in and I love the new environment since it’s a lot more spacious. The staff members are really nice and patient, especially since I usually take forever to order. Either way, onto the food!SoupThe soup at Mana is not set in stone. You have to check their social media account to know which soups is sold at which mana. So if you have a specific soup that you like, you’ll need to make sure to double check whether mana is serving it at your local Mana store. I personally love the lentil soup. It is the best soup I have had, the spices and everything is just perfectly balanced. Today, we had the carrot soup since it was on rotation today. Not my favourite, but the soup here always feel really hearty.YamsOh my god. I love the yams here. Like have you ever had a store that are so generous with their big ass fries? It also comes with a fantastic, and my absolute favourite, garlicnaise sauce. This combo is a must get everytime I come to mana. We were lucky to have had a promotion at mana today. Spend a total of 150$ and get a free side of yams or chips. Without a doubt we got the yams. We make sure to come support Mana as much as we can since it’s our fave local restaurant.Custom flatsMy favourite part about mana is their custom flats. They have a lot of premade options for flats available. They are all excellent choices, but nothing beats picking all your favourite ingredients in your flat. I typically get the falafel, hummus, and kale since those three ingredients simply complement each other really well. The kale really gives the flat volume. The falafel is very well done and the hummus is just pure quality. This time around we decided to get roasted broccoli and halloumi cheese. This combo actually works pretty well. I’m surprised at how amazing the flavours blended together.Do I suggest you to come to Mana? Yes. It’s not only good food but it’s also vegan/vegetarian. I’m a strong believer that you should choose the restaurant based on how good the food is. Mana has amazing food options and it just happens to also be vegan and does a lot for the environment. So win win for everyone.
