It was raining and stuffy last night. The weather also affected our appetite. That's why K and I would like to have some rich and spicy food. we walked along Queen's Road West and discovered this little Indian restaurant. I like Indian food, especially the thick curry sauce. It was fabulous to eat "naan" (Indian plain pizza) with thick curry sauce on it. When we went into the restaurant, it wasn't many customers there. We thought that it was again a soso restaurant. After the clock struck nine, people started coming in. When we were about to leave, almost all tables were occupied. There was a TV showing Indian MTV. To my surprise, Indians are not as conservative as I thought. The Indian gals are sexy and very attractive (K also agrees with that). Going back to the track, we had a set dinner for two persons. It includes two potato cakes, 6 hotpan chicken wings, 2 baskets of naan (6 pieces total), curry with mutton, dessert and drinks. The potato cakes are lovely. The chef first cooked the potato. Then peel off the potato skin. Grind the potato into a paste form and make the potato cake with a brown crispy surface. It stimulates our digestive glands. What a good appetizers. On the other hand, the chicken wings are a bit disappointing. Its taste was not as strong as the usual Indian food. Thumbs down. My favourite "naan" with curry was the main dish. The curry was thick. It's not very chilli but good enough to open up your throat. The "naan" is very very big. We were very full after having two baskets of naan. I had the last drop of curry from the middlesized bowl, saving the effort of the washer. ^o^ The mutton was easy to chew. You may come across some mutton plus tendon!! You can't miss that!! I don't know the exact name of the dessert. It's a starchy ball with slices of coconut with syrup. It was too sweet for me. The cost of the set dinner is only $148. It worths more than we paid.

上星期5(4月8日)經過上環上義工迎新日.首先上網睇下有乜野特別好食0既野係附近.所以咪走上黎openrice睇下囉,想食0的特別又經濟0既食物,見之前0既食家都話大約30幾蚊,咁我就同同事就去哩間印度咖哩餐廳睇下佢有幾好食喇,之前食過印度食物都係4年前0既事囉.果陣時都覺得好好食.一入都去,我就smell倒0的香油味,有0的唔係好受得,但係仲可接受,一入去就有個印度藉0既年青人問我地想食0的乜.佢0的廣東話好掂,多數係香港長大.最後我地點0左兩個單人晚餐,同事唔食得辣野同羊肉所以要小辣同咖喱雞,首先上0既係一道前菜,係兩塊脆餅,仲有0的綠色0既漿,0的脆餅食食下有0的辣,唔知係0的漿定係0的餅有辣味,不過都幾好食,而0的餐湯,味道係咸咸地0既蛋白煮水.真係唔係好掂.仲要得個碗0既一半,可以唔飲,跟住個印度藉0既年青人原來係廚司,個樣二十幾歲.問我地要大.中定小辣,我地要0左小辣,但係食果陣時feel唔度有辣味囉,不過原本印度咖喱雞果0的汁已經好好食囉,本來睇0左細細個鐵碗,以為唔夠食.點知食落好飽,仲差0的食唔哂,0的飯仲淨三分一,因為飯同naan烤餅只可選一,我地有兩個餐就變0左一碟飯同一籃烤餅,一籃有3塊naan,好低食.0的餅就真係好好味,軟軟地,唔會好硬,又0的飯就一粒粒,唔似食開果0的米.用0的咖哩汁加落naan同飯度食.超好味~一個dinner $55 再加1 兩個人加埋$122,下次一定會再去試中辣同羊肉!
星期五，一個人在西環，天氣陰陰濕濕的，口淡淡想吃點濃味的食物，一想就想吃咖哩。
在呢區吃此味選擇不多，見有位，就入來幫襯。
雖然佈置好印度feel，但電視是播著都市閒情。
呢度由樓面到廚房都係印巴籍人士，看樣子出品應該幾地道。
午市套餐仍是六個選擇，望來望去，都是選了咖哩羊。
先來的湯是蛋花湯，賣相差勁，味道卻不算十分差，起碼有味道亦沒有什麼味精；咖哩羊由一個中碗盛著，汁底幾多，反而映起羊肉好像少了一點，其實是不少的。
咖哩味道層次豐富，吃得出是下足香料的，味道不太辣，不錯；羊肉煮得入味，亦不失咬口，沒有臊味。
有幾塊還連著筋位，更好味；烤餅naan好大塊，幾乾身又熱辣辣，有些薄一點的部位更是脆的，用來醮汁吃，都好味。
吃完幾塊大大塊的烤餅，真的幾飽。
連凍飲一杯，埋單35蚊，不收加一，經濟抵食。
看回食評，原來上次幫襯是剛好差不多一年前，比較起來，味道仍是不錯。
20050222 8pm天氣仍然凍, 10度, 又是食咖喱o既good timing!呢間印度o野係我初初搬o黎呢頭apple 推介o既, 我好間唔時都有o黎幫嚫~ o的Naan 好掂. 大廚被譽為全港Top 10 o架wor.夜晚歸家前o黎外賣, 一人set dinner 要o左咖喱瑪紗拉雞(chicken masala) 配Naan, 送個餐湯. 餐湯o徙氣啦, 唔飲都唔係損失, 係o的雜豆藩茄罐頭湯.咖喱就真係正! 算辣o架, 但係呢好足料, 同埋係N樣香料咁樣溝埋煮, 辣得o黎唔寡(sorry 我詞窮, 但係真係好食, 個味道辣得o黎好compulicated) 我食唔晒兜咖喱汁用o黎送公仔麵都不知幾開心. Naan 是即製, 齋食都停唔到口.叫o野食唔洗擔心唔識叫, 好好人老闆娘(?)識流利廣東話同英文.如果唔叫set, 呢度淨係薄餅都有10款(!!!), 噢~ 仲有我好鐘意o既印式甜惹惹雪糕只售$10!! 平靚正.set dinner $56, 再加$1 外賣.
今天第一次來吃午餐, 選了三十五元的咖喱羊肉配烤餅, 雖然羊肉不多, 但肉質不錯, 炆得很入味. 烤餅也頗出色的, 不薄也不厚, 亦很煙韌, 用來點咖喱汁很配. 唯一不太好的可說是它的蘑菇忌薕湯,既沒料, 份量也不多. 有待改善.
